Horrifying images reveal Hamas massacre at rave, where Israeli officers acted as human shields to protect civilians

A “massacre” at an Israeli music festival included Israeli officers being stunned while acting as human shields to protect party-goers and hostages who had their legs released so they could not escape, survivors said.

At least 260 people died at the site, CNN reported, citing Israel’s rescue service Zaka

Graphic new images include pictures of dozens of dead people lying in tents from a warm welcome in southern Israel, which turned into a bloody mess when heavily armed Palestinian terrorists stormed the area and others broke into vehicles.

Disturbing pictures, posted online by Israel’s Foreign Ministry, also show people shot dead in the street while fleeing the Tribe of Nova music festival near the Gaza Strip, while one captures a bloodied hostage being loaded into the back of a terrorist vehicle Hamas.

“We are debating whether or not to share these horrific images, but the world needs to know what we are dealing with,” the ministry said in a statement.

“These are not ‘freedom fighters.’ They are Hamas terrorists, but no different from ISIS terrorists,” the Israeli official said of the attackers. “The family is overbearing, kidnapping the grandmother. Defile the corpse.”

Several terrorists rolled into the area, while “50 terrorists arrived at the celebration site in a van, dressed in military uniform,” a partygoer identified only as Ortel told Israel’s Channel 12.

Raziel Tamir, who was attending a music festival near Kibbutz Re’im, said he was awakened by gunshots, screams and explosions around 6 a.m. when militants began killing partygoers.

“When I went outside my tent, I saw a large number of dead bodies, and terrorists were running and shooting everywhere, throwing grenades and hand grenades at people,” Tamir told the public radio channel, the Jerusalem Post reported.

Tamir said he and 100 others survived when Israeli soldiers used their bodies as human shields to protect those lying on the ground trying to avoid incoming fire and explosions.

“Soldiers protected us with their bodies, and we saw them fall before our eyes,” he said.

Tamir likened the attack to a war zone, where shocked partygoers and their friends ran for cover behind trees and bushes as Hamas forces shot civilians and took hostages.

He noted that those who fled into the forest were spared the immediate ambush that Hamas had prepared for the unfortunates who ran into the parking lot.

“People tried to run to their cars, but the terrorists waited and slaughtered them as they tried to get into their cars and run away,” he explained.

Soon Hamas began firing into the bushes, where Tamir said he saw many dead as he tried his best to avoid the fire before finally covering himself with dirt and leaves to avoid detection.

As he hid for his life, Tamir said he remembered the screams of the wounded howling in pain, as well as his two friends, who he could hear being kidnapped and beaten.

He added that some of the abductees had their legs shot so that they could not resist or escape.

Tamir also claimed that Hamas terrorists posed as IDF rescuers during the bloodshed, tricking Israel into thinking they were running towards their rescuers only to be gunned down.

“I didn’t stop praying,” Tamir said of the horrific experience. “It’s a miracle we got out of there without a scratch.”

He said he still couldn’t believe that he was the only one of his group of friends who managed to escape the ordeal.

“I can’t believe I’m still alive; I don’t know if I’m still alive, or if this is how the dead feel,” he said about the feeling of emptiness.

Ortel said he survived by ducking into some bushes as bullets flew and shot people down.

“I put the phone on silent mode, and then I started crawling through the orange grove,” he said. “The fire of life whistled above me.”

The worst attack on Israel in 50 years: How we got here

2005: Israel unilaterally withdraws from the Gaza Strip three decades after winning the territory from Egypt in the Six-Day War.

2007: Hamas takes control of Gaza in a civil war.

2008: Israel launched a military offensive against Gaza after Palestinian terrorists fired rockets into the city of Sderot.

2023: Hamas launches its biggest attack on Israel in 50 years.

More than 700 Israelis died, more than 2,150 were injured and 100 were taken hostage, with the death toll expected to rise after Hamas terrorists fired thousands of rockets and sent dozens of militants into Israeli cities.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced “We are at war” and promised Hamas would pay an “unprecedented price.”

Gaza health officials reported at least 300 Palestinians killed with 2,200 injured.

The horror was nothing short of “massacre,” a doctor at the scene told Israel Public Radio.

“You don’t understand what it is. It’s a massacre,” said a distraught emergency worker, identified only as Yaniv.

“I’ve never seen anything like it in my life,” he said. “It was a planned ambush.

“When people came out of the emergency door, the terrorist squad was waiting for them there and started evicting them. In the parking lot, people start running, killing people in the toilets. There were 3,000 people at the event, so [the Palestinians] might know it. They have intelligence.”

He said his entire medical team had been wiped out.

“Each one in a different place and at a different time,” Yaniv said. “Someone decided that he was going to go out in his ambulance to give first aid outside even though it was against procedure – he was shot in the head. They killed the injured people we were treating.”

More than 600 Israelis were killed and nearly 2,000 injured in the surprise attack on the Gaza Strip, the deadliest attack the country has seen in more than 50 years.

Along with the shooting at the warm reception, Hamas terrorists attacked and fired thousands of rockets into Israeli cities.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to exact “great revenge” on Hamas. So far, about 370 people have been killed in counter-attacks across the Gaza Strip.
