He added that the edition will “offer a global platform to expand the network and profile of winter adaptive sports” and will be held in “partnership with First Nations.”

Ahead of the next edition, major changes have taken place within the Invictus Games Foundation, the organization responsible for the tournament.
CEO Peter Lawless and Chief Commercial Officer Bill Cooper are reported to be among those leaving the organisation, with Nick Booth appointed as interim CEO, each BIV.
In a statement, the organization confirmed the change and thanked Lawless and Cooper for their efforts in facilitating the return of the Games to Canada. It was also mentioned that Booth had “advised the team since the award of the bid for the 2025 Games.”
They stated that “the transition allows continuity of vision and no disruption to the team working to deliver the Games.” They also announced that Lawless will continue in the role of ambassador for the 2025 Vancouver Whistler Games and will retain his new status as CEO emeritus.

Following the announcement of the change, speculation spread that the Invictus Games Foundation was still facing budget problems despite assurances of financial support from the Canadian government.
