Glasper, who emerged as the winner for the Best R&B Album category during the 2023 Grammys, unfortunately, was the recipient of an online attack from his colleague Chris Brown, who was also nominated under that category for the album “Breezy”.
Due to Brown’s loss at the esteemed awards ceremony, she went ballistic and slammed Glasper on her Instagram story. The music arranger, however, went ahead and turned all the insults into a victory for himself and his community as a whole.

Informing fans of her recent achievement, she took to her Instagram page to post a photo of a sold-out t-shirt after her name was smeared by Brown over her win during the 65th Annual Grammys.
The gray picture shows a t-shirt with the print, “Who is Robert Glasper”? Written in all caps, next to the laugh-cry emoticon. Attached to the image are the words “SOLD OUT.” As you know, the offending question was originally asked by Brown during an online rant.
Glasper, however, handled the insulting remarks professionally and turned them into a profit-making scheme that would benefit the less fortunate. Opening up about the post in her caption, she wrote, “Thanks for the support. A portion of the proceeds from this shirt will be donated to the New Orleans Community Music Center.”
Elaborating, he added, “A non-profit organization created to share music culture and music education in New Orleans, providing free music lessons to underserved youth.”
He concluded by appreciating his supporters, writing, “I can’t thank you all enough for supporting this effort.” Blown away by the songwriter’s gesture, fans took to Glasper’s comments section to praise him, with one writing, “The way you’ve handled this is a clinic.”
One female fan declared, “I got to be small, support a great artist, and my absolute favorite city in the world. I won!!! A third quipped, “Maybe a small portion of the proceeds should tip Chris Brown!?.”

It looks like the “Under The Influence” singer realized he was doing something wrong after the disrespectful behavior he displayed publicly on the internet. According to The Blast, Brown admitted his guilt over his outburst at Glasper after receiving public criticism for the way he handled her loss at the just-concluded Grammys.
Taking to her Instagram story, Brown revealed to fans that she sent a direct message to Glasper, asking for the songwriter’s forgiveness. He also shared with fans the content of the message.
In the message, Brown profusely apologized to Glasper and stated that he knew he was “rude and mean.” Continuing to justify the reason for his anger, he added, “ORGANIZATION DOESN’T MAKE US BLACK OUT OUR STRENGTHS. YOU AND I DO NOT HAVE TO BE IN THE SAME CATEGORY.”

Based on information obtained from legal documents, several large tax liens have been filed against the “Loyal” singer. The liens include his home in Tarzana, CA, and anything related to his music business.
It was revealed that in 2022, he was granted a federal tax lien for $2,245,561.50, while another lien was filed the same year for $1,059,967.78. He subsequently received a state tax lien of $739,067.48.
