Taylor Swift has made a $100k donation to support the family of Lisa Lopez-Galvan, the mother of two who lost her life during Wednesday’s shooting at the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl parade.
Lopez-Galvan was fatally shot at the end of the march amid what authorities allege was an altercation among several people.

On Friday, Swift showed her compassion by making two separate $50k donations to a GoFundMe page set up to help Lopez-Galvan’s family after her tragic death. In addition to the large donation, the singer posted a message in the “Words of Support” section of the page, stating:
“Sending our deepest sympathies and condolences following your terrible loss. With love, Taylor Swift.”

At the time of this report, donations to the page have surpassed $190k, reflecting the outpouring of support and solidarity for Lopez-Galvan’s family following his death. The bio on the GoFundMe page, titled “Elizabeth Lopez-Galvan Memorial,” explains:
“Lisa was celebrating the Chiefs Super Bowl Victory Parade when she was senselessly killed. She left behind two children and her husband of 22 years. We ask that you continue to keep his family in your prayers as we mourn his loss. These funds will help provide vital financial support to his family as they process this unimaginable tragedy.”
The page also described the late disc jockey as “a wonderful mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend to many.” Lopez-Galvan’s death was confirmed by his employer, KKFI-FM, in a statement posted on Facebook this week. They shared:
“It is with sincere sadness and a very heavy and broken heart that we inform our community that KKFI DJ Lisa Lopez-Galvan, host of Taste of Tejano lost her life today in a shooting at a KC Chiefs rally. Our hearts and prayers are with his family.”
The post struck a chord with many Facebook users, and they immediately rallied around the company and the Lopez-Galvan family in the comments section.

Travis Kelce Shows Support For Victims In Social Media Post
Days before his superstar girlfriend donated to the Lopez-Galvan family, Travis Kelce spoke out about the unfortunate shooting that left one person dead and 20 others injured. Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, the Chiefs strictly declared:
“I am saddened by the tragedy that happened today. My heart goes out to everyone who came out to celebrate with us and has been affected. KC, you mean so much to me.”

The heartfelt tribute was felt by many of his fans, one of whom replied, “Thank you, Travis. No one in a million years thought something like this would happen. You all have brought joy to the fans and the kids……..they love you all……as we all do. Prayers for healing for the injured and comfort for the family of the deceased.”
However, one individual wants Kelce to take action to prevent the shooting from happening again. They pleaded, “Travis, please use your big platform and voice to call for gun safety laws to be implemented so we can prevent future tragedies.”
Amidst Kelce’s statement and subsequent reaction, Kansas City Police Chief Stacey Graves provided an update on the tragic events at Union Station during a news conference. He announced, “Three individuals have been arrested and are currently under investigation for today’s incident. At this time, we do not have a motive.
The police chief also expressed his disappointment, stating, “I am very angry with today’s incident. Attendees at this festival should expect a safe environment.”
