Hulk Hogan Debunks Controversy Surrounding His Netflix Biopic

With an illustrious wrestling career that spanned an impressive 35 years, marked by an unprecedented six reigns as World Heavyweight Champion, it was to be expected that one would want to tell the story of his life.

While fans celebrated the announcement of a biopic about the wrestling icon, the prospect of Hemsworth taking on the lead role added to the excitement for wrestling fans and movie buffs alike.

However, no one knows if it will still happen, so the wrestling legend addressed the issue in a conversation with Chris Van Vliet. The 70-year-old revealed that the standstill “was a situation where, business-wise, Netflix missed a date as far as a business situation. So, I had the option at that time to switch gears.”

However, Hulk stated that despite the “business issues” they were trying to resolve, he had “already decided to move on.” This means that “his rights and things are elsewhere now, and there are many things that are preparing to happen.”

Hulk revealed that the script, written by Scott Silva – whose work also includes the hit movie “The Joker,” – was great, comparing it to movies he likes like “Scarface” and “The Godfather.”

Hogan also hopes that “Todd Phillips and Chris Hemsworth still want to play, but there’s still a big opportunity there.” Before Vliet asked the “No Holds Barred” star about the development of his biopic, he posed the same question to Hemsworth, who will play a skilled wrestler.

The conversation, which took place last year while the “Thor” star was promoting Netflix’s “Spiderhead,” saw him share his uncertainty about embracing the powers of Hulkamania anytime soon.

The “Thor: Love and Thunder” actor revealed, “Todd Phillips is busy making Joker 2, I believe, and I’ve left the other movies. It’s all in conversation and development, and like a lot of things, a lot of things have to come together for it to happen. But I don’t have a 24 inch python yet….”
