The guy just wanted a late night snack!
A dog that escaped its kennel to grab a late-night snack set off an overnight alarm at an Arizona animal shelter in a hilarious moment that was all caught on video.
And he also tried to get some furry friends to join in the secret feeding.
Surveillance footage from Lost Our Home Pet Rescue, located 11 miles outside of Phoenix in Tempe, captured a Husky named King swinging his kennel door.
King then wandered into the office section of the shelter and into the lobby, as the curious husky seemed to reach the scene for something in particular: a snack.
That’s when King came across a clear container filled with food on a shelf, then strategically hit it to knock over trash cans all over the floor.

“This dog is so smart,” Jodi Polanski, executive owner of Lost Our Home Pet Rescue, told KPHO about the Nov. 16 incident. “He sure rules the place, doesn’t he?”
Polanski, who was asleep at home during King’s breakout, said he woke up when the shelter’s security system alerted his phone to broken glass.
“My reaction was definitely surprise,” he said. “It said the glass broke from the inside, and I said, ‘How could that be?’… It rang like three times, and I couldn’t figure out what was going on.”

King, however, was no selfish dog as Polanski said he tried to unlock the other kennels where his canine friends were so they could join the party.
“There were other dogs in the same room as him, and he kept trying to open their kennels as well,” Polanski said. “He really wanted to party with some friends.”
King continued without his buds and grabbed a snack while alarms went off throughout the sanctuary.

Polanski immediately called the police to rush to the shelter and inspect the scene, while he continued to watch the security footage from his home.
The footage shows a police officer arriving at the lobby door when he noticed King coming out of his cage.
When the officer walks in the shelter, an excited King jumps on him thinking the cop might be there to join the party.

The official spoils the fun and takes the King back to his stable.
Soon after, footage shows the police cleaning up the mess King made, and when he’s done the police are seen sighing in relief before walking out.
Polanski tried to contact the officer, but to no avail, assuming the Good Samaritan cop just wanted to do his thing and make sure everything was fine with the shelter.

“We just call him Mr. Clean,” Polanski joked.
In better news, King was soon adopted after the incident, WCAX reported.
