IDF shares harrowing videos, photos of Hamas attack: ‘It’s things a person doesn’t do’

The Israel Defense Forces shared a harrowing 43-minute compilation on Monday of the surprise Hamas terror attack that killed more than 1,400 people – including an interview with a terrorist who admitted he had clear orders to kill women and children and even rape the dead.

Horrific videos and photos shared with journalists contain graphic evidence of Hamas shooting, torturing and beheading civilians during their incursion across the Gaza border on October 7.

One of the videos shows the shocking moment a group of terrorists, disguised as IDF soldiers, flag down a passing car before shooting the occupants.

The bodies were then dragged out of the vehicle and left on the side of the road, with Hamas members later seen looting the victim’s belongings from the bullet-riddled car, The Times of Israel reported.

Another video shows a captured Hamas member admitting that terrorists “become animals” when carrying out their orders to slaughter and terrorize people across Israel.

“It is something that one does not do – beheading people, having sex with a corpse, meaning the corpse of a dead young woman,” the terrorist said in a video published by Kan, Israel’s public broadcaster. “It wasn’t a human who did that.”

Although the Hamas operative said he knew Islam forbids the killing of women, children and the elderly, he explained that he and others were told to ignore it and enter every Israeli house they could with the intention of shooting “anyone who is inside the house. ”

“In the mosques, they tell us to have mercy on women and children. In the army [Hamas] they told us to kill them, kill them everywhere,” he said.

The members said they were also told to stomp on people’s heads and cut off their heads, likening the group to ISIS and calling Hamas “inhumane.”

Another video reviewed by journalists showed a victim being brutally beheaded with a shovel, and another in which a father was killed with a grenade in front of his two sons as a Hamas soldier enjoyed a drink after bleeding, according to the BBC.

“Dad is dead, this is no joke,” shouted one of the sons. “Why am I still alive?”

The sickening images come as Israel tries to dispel doubts about the attack, with the IDF saying many online have spread misinformation to try and downplay the October 7 terror attack, comparing it to Holocaust denial.

Major General Michael Edelstein, former commander of the IDF’s Gaza division, told reporters that the new video and photos should also put into perspective the need to destroy Hamas after Israel received criticism for its airstrikes in Gaza, which have killed more than 5,000 Palestinians, including children. according to the Hamas-led Ministry of Health.

“We see that some channels are trying to compare what Israel is doing and what the despicable terrorists are doing,” Edelstein said. “I can’t understand anyone comparing.”

“And after what we shared with you, you should know.”

As it released videos and photos, Israel intensified its airstrikes in Gaza again, hitting more than 320 targets over the past day, IDF officials reported.

The bombing was mostly concentrated in northern Gaza as Israel prepared to pave the way for a ground invasion, issuing several leaflets in the area warning civilians to flee or be considered Hamas allies.

The move has been condemned by the United Nations, which runs aid groups for civilians, saying the mobilization of more than 1 million people is unrealistic, with many wounded in hospitals unable to be evacuated.

On Monday, the IDF also released footage of its new “Iron Sting” motorized bombing system, which is used to launch precision strikes into Gaza to take out enemy targets and rocket launchers.

“Its operational use will revolutionize ground warfare and equip battalions with organic, accurate and effective firepower,” the IDF said in a statement.

Elbit Systems, which developed the “Iron Sting” or “Steel Sting,” touted it in 2021 as a “laser and GPS-guided mortar munition” accurate for engaging dense urban environments while “reducing potential collateral damage and preventing injury to not a fighter.”

The new system could allay concerns of the international community which has expressed concern for the safety of more than 200 hostages taken by Hamas who could be injured or killed by repeated Israeli bombardments.

The IDF now estimates that Hamas has about 222 hostages in Gaza, up from 210 last week.

The hostage situation remains an alarming frontline in Israel’s counterattack as those kidnapped include at least 30 children and citizens from more than 30 countries.

After freeing two Americans last week, Hamas released two Israeli women, both in their 80s, on Monday, with another 50 dual nationals scheduled to be released to the Red Cross following negotiations with Qatar and Egypt.
