That’s the latest question on people’s minds after the mother-of-one took to social media to air her views on the rapper’s apparently non-existent parenting style. The two industry giants share a son, Onyx, whom they welcomed in 2020.

Azalea appeared to criticize Carti on Thursday night, suggesting he was being an absentee father to their three-year-old son Onyx.
The moment came via a compilation of fans on social media depicting Carti spending time with their son in various locations, including amusement parks, playgrounds and the beach.
At one point in the nearly three-minute video, the child’s father is seen holding a phone to record his son performing a Christmas-themed performance with other children. In another scene, which closes the solemn clip, the father and son pair are seen running down an empty street before Carti takes her baby boy in her arms
Although the footage was emotional enough to garner over 5k likes from viewers, Azalea seemed unfazed. “It’s great how you can fit almost every tour into just one video ? Talented!” he comment below the broadcast, delivering the mic drop moment.

The “Black Widow” hitmaker’s notifications immediately started ringing as more than a million people saw her reply, and thousands of them chose to reply on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter.
Meanwhile, some critics were offended by the update and labeled Azalea “hated” for not allowing them enjoy it father and son moments as captured in the video.
The on-again, off-again Billboard Music Award winner talked about her relationship with Carti earlier this year when she joined Emily Ratajkowski on her podcast “High Low with EmRata.” During a February 2023 appearance, the 33-year-old revealed:
“I dated a little bit last year, and it was fun. I have been single since the beginning of 2020. Right after I had my son, I left his father. Something happened the other day with my son’s father and I, and it was one of those moments where I didn’t wake up thinking this was going to be my day.”
He went on to say, “But at the end of the day, I was on my way to Los Angeles, and I never came back, and that was the end of it.”

Onyx is well aware of the importance of his mother, who has been his sole caregiver since his birth three years ago. On the eve of Mother’s Day in May, she decided that the perfect gift for Azalea would be a heartfelt painting.
A clever boy folds a piece of white paper in half, fills it with “Happy Mother’s Day” and two drawings of butterflies on the front. When the rapper “Fancy” opens do-it-yourself [DIY] card, he found a cute illustration of four penguins.
Two penguins engage in playful activity while another strums a guitar, accompanied by three colorful round objects— all captured in a charming drawing. The Blast observed that the bottom contained sweet writing, which read, “Love Onyx.”
Azalea later shared a glimpse of the card on her Story, preceded by a monochrome photo of her son perched on her shoulder on her Instagram page. The three-year-old’s laughter and curly locks radiated. The American Music Award winner added a simple “Happy Mother’s Day” with a white heart emoji.
Unsurprisingly, fans flooded the comments section of the now-deleted post, voicing his sentiments. “Mother is the best! our Gemini season is coming,” one fan commented, while a second called the Grand Hustle recipient a “total beauty,” and a third asserted, “This smile makes a lot of people happy.”
