On Thursday night, Ireland shared a photo of her holding her baby in her arms, showing off her bleached blonde hair. She continued her practice of making sure not to show Holland’s face in any photos she shared on social media, keeping her baby’s face out of sight.
“I thought yesterday was international breastfeeding day? No matter how you choose to breastfeed your baby, a happy and fed baby is what matters,” she wrote in the caption of this Instagram post. “To be completely transparent, I don’t want to breastfeed. I have my own personal reasons for that choice.”

“But it turns out that little Miss and I are good at it!!!” he revealed. “It just took a while to get there. He was supplemented with formula and still gets the formula/breastmilk combo! I’m proud of my ability to feed him with this jug of milk but I also love that he accepts all options so well!”
She closed her post with a message to all moms out there, adding, “No matter what you’re doing, just know, you’re doing a good job!!! In case someone hasn’t told you lately.” Many fans shared stories of their own experiences with breastfeeding in the comments.

Fans all have different opinions on whether or not formula milk is better than breastfeeding. “I didn’t want to breastfeed and so I didn’t. My daughter is 25 now and doing great. You say. Fed is the best,” commented one fan. “Two breastfeeding and two bottles. All 4 are healthy. That’s all that matters,” shared another follower. “Thanks for normalizing that a well-fed baby is the most important thing,” a third fan chimed in.
“You’re going to be a mother with such quiet ferocity – it’s like you were always meant for the role. I have admired your Mom for years and now I see you look so much like her, so amazing,” commented another follower. “Watching you become a mother is so beautiful, thank you for sharing this insight into your life. You really shine!”

In a since-deleted Instagram post published around Memorial Day, the model admitted that she had struggled with her first pregnancy. “I really struggled in my pregnancy like most of us do. It’s not just throwing up all over the place. I don’t miss it. As someone who suffers a lot from health anxiety, pregnancy turns everything into overdrive,” she explained. “Every the thoughts in my head related to hurting the baby.”
“I spent the last 9 months worrying about pulmonary embolism, blood clots, pre-eclampsia. I read countless pregnancy horror stories and I watched negative birth video after video until I was numb to it all,” she admits. “I’m worried I won’t make it through my delivery or something bad will happen.”

However, when she was born, Ireland revealed that all her fears “melted into nothingness,” adding, “I know we’re all different and our birth stories are different, but this is what I want to share from me.”
“Almost everything everyone was told would happen, didn’t. Labor was intense, but I had worse pain. He was born,” he wrote. “My fear is gone. My heart is full. I have fallen in love again for the second time. I’ve lost a lot of sleep, but I don’t care. I could stare at it doing nothing for hours. A sense of calm surrounded me from the moment he arrived and that made me feel calm.”

She ended her post with some important advice for her followers, writing, “Don’t let people tell you how it’s going to be. Life is scary and unpredictable and this process is very scary but it is the greatest thing I have ever done and will ever do. Don’t let people scare you.”
“Just take a deep breath and enjoy the pregnancy,” she added. “Even if you’re a constipated solar system like me. Because now that he’s out, I stare at his little feet kicking the air and remember what it felt like to feel him kicking me.”
