Hamas has released a disturbing video in which it appears to mock the families of kidnapped children and babies with images of terrorists holding and playing with their captives.
The terrorist group appears to be trying to use the video as a propaganda tool to say it is treating its captives well.
The UN has identified the abduction of children in war as one of six “grave violations” condemned by the international organization.
Earlier on Friday, Israel dropped thousands of leaflets in Gaza asking people to “leave immediately” while Hamas urged residents to ignore the order.
Israel ordered the mass evacuation of up to 1.1 million Palestinians from the northern Gaza Strip within 24 hours ahead of a possible ground invasion targeting Hamas terrorists. Hamas, meanwhile, rejected the warning and told citizens to “remain firmly in your homes,” and “stand firm in the face of this disgusting psychological warfare.”
Jews around the world were advised to be extra cautious on Friday after Hamas called for a global “day of rage”. Israelis abroad are urged to avoid gatherings and demonstrations that may turn violent.
The death toll now stands at 1,300 in Israel, including 27 Americans, and another 1,900 in Gaza.
