President Biden returned to the US after his visit to Israel.
Another world leader, UK PM Rishi Sunak, arrived in Israel today, a day after Biden’s visit.
“Above all, I am here to express my solidarity with the people of Israel. You have suffered an unspeakable and horrific act of violence and I want you to know that the United Kingdom and I stand with you,” Sunak said as he arrived.
In news from across the US, colleges and universities clash over allegiances in the conflict. Most recently, Harvard students staged a ‘die-in’, demanding an end to the ‘massacre in Gaza’ after signing a letter blaming Israel for a Hamas terrorist attack on a hospital in Gaza.
After more than 10 days of war, at least 3,000 Palestinians and 1,400 Israelis have been killed, according to the Wall Street Journal.
