He explained, “It feels like we’re going backwards, very sad. There are too many enablers for there to be real change. People need to be held accountable. There needs to be legitimate consequences. Hollywood is very bad about consequences.”
The Golden Globe nominee explained that, as a result, he had to control his environment in Hollywood and hold those in his bubble accountable. When the interviewer asked her what needs to be done to improve the situation, Rae touched on the subject of Miller’s recent string of scandals.
In her words, “It starts with the spine. Although I don’t support people jumping to conclusions and I think it’s fair for an investigation to take place, I think it’s very important to, as the mantra says, ‘Listen women. ‘”
