Mindy Kaling rarely shares photos or videos of her two children on social media, but when she does, it’s something pretty special. The “Never Have I Ever” creator recently shared a video on Instagram of her daughter, Katherine Swati, 4, and son Spencer Avu, 2, watching Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” music video to learn the steps to the popular Halloween dance.

The video is captioned, “Watching Thriller on repeat to know the moves tomorrow? 🧟♀️🕺🏽🎃🤞🏾” first shows Katherine standing in front of the television focusing on a dance move and mimicking some of it. The camera then pans to Spencer, who is standing on on the sofa behind him doing his own dance moves.Both kids clearly loved the video.
Many of Kaling’s social media followers commented on how cute the two were and discussed their choices in the video. One person wrote, “A must for every generation! 🧟♀️ 🧟♂️” Another added, “It is very important that he learns this by tomorrow. Proceed!! 🎃🎃” And another follower chimed in, “They’re already better than me!” Kaling’s co-star on “The Office” wrote, “Love it!!” Many other comments focused on Kaling’s parenting saying, “This is 100% boss parenting 💁🏽♀️💁🏽♀️💁🏽♀️,” and “Parenting win! 👏🙌”

Mindy Kaling Never Shows Her Kids’ Faces Online
Kaling, 43, is famous for never showing her children’s faces on social media. So, even though he sometimes shares photos and videos of them, it’s mostly behind their heads. “I have no consideration for people who share photos and videos of their children. That’s my feeling [my kids] have no actual consent now to do so. I think it’s better that I wait until they’re old enough so they can tell me if they want to be a part of my social media or not,” Kaling told PEOPLE last November. “Sometimes it’s just a matter of safety. I don’t want to be in an airport and have someone be like ‘Spencer, Katherine,’ and have them look at that person as if they know them or they’re friends. I think it can be very confusing as a kid.
He also explained that it was not easy for him not to show them off. “So that’s why I do it, but it’s hard because they’re a big part of my life,” she said. “And I’m like any parent where I’m proud of what they’re doing. I think they are so cute, and of course, I want other people to see them!”

Mindy Kaling Finds Ways To Broadcast Her Kids Without Showing Their Faces
The actress has found a way to share some of her children’s special moments on her social media pages without showing their faces. In August, he shared a photo of Katherine at the Griffith Observatory with her godfather, BJ Novak.
