Nicholson was last spotted and about over a year ago in October 2021.
According to reports from Online RadarNicholson’s friends fear that his fate may be the same as his former best friend, Marlon Brando.
The “Something’s Gotta Give” actress asked her friend the same question.
“He has explained that his house is his palace. But people are just hoping he gets out of the house and shows up to tell them how, or at least reassure people that he’s OK,” a source told the outlet.
Nicholson Became Quiet & Just Stayed In His Mansion

Nicholson remains alone in his lavish Mulholland Drive mansion. His “palace” has four bedrooms, three bathrooms and a pool.
The last time “The Shining” actor was seen out and about was on October 19, 2021, with his son, Ray Nicholson, at the Los Angeles Lakers’ season opener.
The insider continued, “Jack connects with certain relatives, especially Ray, his protégé, who he’s very proud of, but his socializing days are long gone.”
As mentioned earlier, those close to or in Nicholson’s circle fear that he will live out his final days, weeks, months and years like “The Godfather” star Brando.

“Brando died a hermit after leading a colorful life, and Jack’s friends are making comparisons,” the source revealed to RO. “His children would visit, but they were his only connection to the world. He doesn’t seem to want to face reality anymore and that’s just sad.”
His inner circle reportedly worried that the 85-year-old Nicholson was suffering from dementia.
In September 2021, a friend said of Nicholson, “Jack and I have been friends for years and he doesn’t leave his house anymore… I think his son and daughter are taking care of him now.”
Explosion previously reported that before the October 2021 sighting, Nicholson was often seen sitting courtside with his famous friends like Leonardo DiCaprio several days a week.

It makes sense why he took time out from public life. January 2020 is right before the COVID-19 pandemic takes over the whole earth and as many know, older people are more susceptible to the deadly virus and their chances of survival are small.
