Jada Pinkett Smith gives new details about her breakup with Will Smith and a stunning confession about Chris Rock.
The actress took a trip down memory lane as she recalled past interactions between herself and the award-winning comedian, including romantic trysts. That’s right, she claims Rock tried to contact her during the same time period.
Will had a tongue-lashing when he got physical with Rock last year on stage at the 94th Academy Awards on March 27, 2022, after he made a comment about Jada’s alopecia.

Although Jada and Rock haven’t spoken since the incident in 2022, the 52-year-old revealed that the comedian once asked her out. The meeting took place a few years ago when rumors of a divorce between Jada and Will were heating up. The “Girls Trip” cast said:
“I thought every summer all the reports would come out that Will and I were getting divorced. And this summer, Chris, he thought we were getting divorced. So he called me and he was basically like, I’d love to ask you out.”

A shocked Jada asks what the “Spiral” actor means, to which Rock mentions the divorce rumors. However, Jada quickly denied the report, which left Rock “shocked” as he “apologized” for his misunderstanding and approach.
In a new interview promoting her new book “Wonder,” Jada revealed that Rock approached her after the slap and tried to apologize for his weird comments on stage insisting he “didn’t mean any harm.” Jada admitted she was in no mood to address the issue as she said:
“I said, ‘I can’t talk about this right now, Chris. This is some s—.’ I think this is [about] The 2016 Oscars and … their stuff that they had before I came into the picture in the late 80s. I’ll have to leave that to Will and Chris to talk about, but they definitely got their stuff.”
Offended by Rock’s comments, the actress admitted she understood the concept of comedy and expression and said:
“I mean, that’s what comedians do, I just have to say that I’m not really here to make any judgments about how people decide to express themselves and express their art. I will say that a few times I have had my feelings hurt, for sure. My feelings have been hurt a lot by Chris. But at the end of the day, also, be careful, it comes with the territory.”
Despite the lack of communication between them, Jada expressed her desire for all misunderstandings to be resolved so that there is peace.

“We have done some very heavy work together. We’ve just found a deep love for each other, and we’re going to figure out what that looks like for us.”
Jada and Will tied the knot in 1997 and are the proud parents of Jaden and Willow, as well as a son, Trey, from Will’s previous marriage to Sheree Zampino. According to The Blast, Jada also shared that she initially thought Will going up to slap Rock was part of a skit and it wasn’t until Will returned to his seat that she saw how real it was.
However, the breakup did not sit well with Jada, who confirmed her full support for Will throughout his career and future endeavours. The slap resulted in a 10-year ban for the award-winning actress from the Academy, but Jada said:
“I’ll be by his side but also let him figure this out on his own.”
The “Reign Over Me” actress also spoke about her struggles with depression, sharing that she started planning her own death after she turned 40. According to him:
“When I turned 40, I was in a lot of pain. I can find no way out but death. So I made a plan.”
While there’s no denying how successful Jada is, the actress shared: “I hit a big wall — a big depression. I think I looked at having outside resources to fill the emptiness I felt inside.”
