On April 12, Corinne Foxx, daughter of the multi-talented Jamie Foxx, took to Instagram to share a statement about her father’s health.
“From the Foxx Family: We would like to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced medical complications yesterday. Fortunately, due to quick action and careful care, he is on the road to recovery.”

“We know how much he is loved and appreciate your prayers. The family requests privacy at this time,” he concluded, closing his statement with, “So sorry, Foxx Family.”
Although fans are confident that he will be home soon, it seems that the “They Clone Tyrone” actor is still in the hospital, causing a body double to be used in his place for his new movie “Back in Action.” It has also forced the network to find a new host for “Beat Shazam.”

Jamie Foxx has hosted Fox’s musical puzzle game show since its first season. Her daughter, Corinne Fox, was then brought in to replace October Gonzalez, to act as the show’s DJ. According to the show’s synopsis:
“Hosted by Jamie Foxx, ‘Beat Shazam’ is an interactive game show that pits two teams against time and each other as they try to identify the biggest hit song of all time. Finally, the team with the most money will go up against Shazam, the popular song identification app, for a chance to win up to $1 million.”
The show premiered on Fox on May 25, 2017, and has aired for five seasons so far. The show has been renewed for a sixth season, which will premiere at the end of May, along with other classic Fox staples like “Crime Scene Kitchen,” “Don’t Forget The Lyrics,” “MasterChef,” and Ramsay’s new show: “Star Gordon Ramsay’s food.”

The news that both Jamie and Corinne will be replaced as hosts was announced by TMZ on Wednesday morning. Production on the musical lyrical game show reportedly began just days after he was hospitalized. Filming reportedly began on Wednesday.
Corinne won’t take over the DJing and hosting duties so she can stay by her father’s side in the hospital. The family did not reveal what “medical complications” Jamie had, although he was reportedly “alert and alert” following a health scare.
So Who Is The New ‘Beat Shazam’ Host?
Later on Wednesday, TV personality Kelly Osbourne shared a video on her Instagram Story featuring her in the show’s DJ booth.
In the background, the emcee can be heard cheering up the studio audience to welcome “The Masked Singer” host Nick Cannon. Currently, it is believed that Nick Cannon will host all episodes for this upcoming season to give Jamie Foxx time to recover.
“Beat Shazam” has not been renewed for a seventh season at this time.
