Jamie Foxx has responded to the various nominations he received at the 55th NAACP Image Awards. The Oscar-winning actor received three nominations in three separate award categories.
Acknowledging his NAACP nod, Foxx referenced the health scare he suffered last April, noting that he was “grateful” to have been given a “second chance” at life.
He recently returned to acting for the first time in nine months, as he was spotted on the set of “Back in Action.”

The multi-talented actor and musician recently took to his official Instagram account to express gratitude following his nomination at the 55th NAACP Image Awards.
The NAACP Image Awards, which celebrate the achievements of people of color in the arts and entertainment industry, recognized Foxx’s outstanding contributions with nominations in three separate categories: Outstanding Actor in a Motion Picture for “The Burial,” Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture. for “They Cloned Tyrone,” and Outstanding Independent Motion Picture for “Story Ave.”
“So grateful to @naacpimageawards for this nomination,” Foxx said in response to the nomination. “I can’t tell you how great it feels to be recognized by ourselves … and a big thank you to @datariturner your vision and your diligence to complete all our projects with the best expertise and execution is nothing short of amazing.”

The “Day Shift” actress went on to express how grateful she is for her “second chance” at life following her mysterious health scare that sidelined her for months.
“And personally, I’m humbled and grateful to God that I got a second chance to enjoy and appreciate life …,” he added, tagging his sister, Deidra Dixon, and daughter, Corinne Foxx.
Details of the nature of his hospitalization have been kept secret. However, during his acceptance speech for his Critics’ Choice Vanguard Award, Foxx stated that he “actually can’t walk” and that he “wouldn’t wish what I’m going through on my worst enemy because it’s tough.”
“I have a new respect for life. I have a new respect for my art. I watched so many movies and listened to so many songs, trying to pass the time. Don’t give up on your art, man, don’t give up,” he added.

Foxx recently returned to the set of “Back In Action,” marking his first appearance since the ordeal, and was joined by his co-star Cameron Diaz. The actor was seen shooting the film days before his near-fatal health scare last April, when production was put on hold.
Foxx resumes production on the highly anticipated action-comedy in a casual look. She wore a black long-sleeved sweater and completed her casual look with white sneakers.
Diaz also wore a casual outfit with black pants and a plain white shirt worn with a tan cardigan. She let her blonde locks flow freely and paired her outfit with white shoes.
Pictures obtained by a news outlet showed the couple walking side by side as they walked down the sidewalk.

follow People magazine, Foxx’s health crisis appears to be long overdue as the award-winning actor slowly makes his way back into the public eye. After reconnecting on the set of “Back in Action” and his recent appearance with Diaz, a source told the news outlet that the actor is feeling “great.”
“Jamie is definitely back on set and filming until February,” the insider said of Foxx’s schedule. “She looks and feels great.”
“They tried to end the movie with a stunt double but it didn’t come out right so Jamie will be doing all the parts now,” the source added. “He did well.”
Another source said that Foxx is excited to see the film. “For Jamie, the show must go on and he’s always eager to see this project through,” an insider told the news outlet. “Jamie is very talented and loves his work. He will finish this film.”
