The “Django Unchained” actor bought the flavored bourbon in 2021 from its creator, Heritage Distilling Company. At the time, he spoke about the drink’s virtues and revealed why he was eager to bring it to the spotlight by taking ownership of it.
Foxx said in a statement, “Before quarantine, I saw a bottle of BSB missing at all my festivals and knew this was a brand I wanted to bring into the spotlight. Anyone who tries BSB will love it as much as I do.”
Since Foxx’s acquisition, the brand has reportedly undergone significant changes, which have pushed it further into the larger market.

After his post about the new bottle of Brown Sugar Bourbon, fans flocked to the comments section, wondering about Foxx’s choice of words.
One follower wrote, “I just sounded like ‘cloning’ just said,” while another commented, “Yeah, I’m sure [you are] just lol you’re not Jamie, so stop with the BS we’re not stupid.”
