Pop star Britney Spears and her younger sister Jamie Lynn Spears may have gotten their own talk show at some point!
The 41-year-old pop star has shared a wealth of information about her family in her memoir, “The Woman In Me,” which will be officially released on Tuesday, October 24.

On Friday, a source told Us Weekly that Britney’s memoir talks about the time the “Zoey 101” star tried to pitch the idea of a “sister talk show” once she got home from a mental health facility. In the book, Britney reportedly wrote that she felt like a “shell” of herself and was “still on lithium” when “her family went into [her] home like nothing happened.”
In her memoirs, Britney claims that she was “practically in a coma” when a “chipper” Jamie Lynn did a talk show. He said that his sister would often come back “loud and happy” from meetings about television shows. However, Britney noted that “every time” Jamie Lynn speaks “it’s a new scheme.”

Another insider told Us Weekly on Thursday that part of the book focuses on Britney’s relationship with her sister when they were both younger. In 2002, Britney returned from a tour to see her mother, Lynne Spears, deal with the aftermath of her divorce from her father, Jamie Spears. Britney said that her sister is “a b—-” because of the way she treated her mother during the divorce.
She also noted how the “Sweet Magnolias” actress “ruled” the house, which left Britney feeling “betrayed” by all the ways her sister had “changed” while she was on tour.

In an emotional court hearing in June 2021, Britney accused her father and Jamie Lynn of taking advantage of her when she stepped before a judge to fight back against court-ordered conservatorship. “I honestly want to sue my family, to be honest with you. I also want to be able to share my story with the world, and what they did to me, instead of it being a secret to benefit them all,” Britney said at the time.
Jamie Lynn then took to Instagram to reassure her fans that she is doing everything she can to support her sister. “Maybe I don’t support her as much as people want me to with a hashtag on a public platform, but I can assure you that I have supported my sister long before there was a hashtag. And I will support it long after. Watch that,” he wrote, via the outlet.
“If finishing conservatorship or flying to Mars or whatever he wants to do [will make her happy] — I support that, 100 percent,” he added. “Because I support my sister. I love my sister. Always have, always will.”

Britney isn’t the only one coming out with a memoir. Her mother, Lynne Spears, released her own memoir called “Through The Storm” in 2008, but fans may be more familiar with Jamie Lynn’s memoir, “Things I Should Have Said” in January 2022. At the time, Britney took to social media to ask her sister “please, please stop with this crazy lie for the Hollywood books” and also called her sister “trash,” as previously reported by The Blast.
“I hope you’ll take a lie detector test so all this crowd can see you’re lying through your teeth about me!!!” Britney wrote at the time. “I hope almighty, God can come down and show the whole world that you are lying and taking money from me!!!”
An insider told Us Weekly that Britney “lashed out” at Jamie Lynn’s memoir in her own book, noting that she wanted to set the record straight about what really happened between them. It’s worth noting that Britney also called out her mother for things she wrote about in her 2008 memoir.
Britney Spears’ memoir “The Woman In Me” is scheduled to be released on Tuesday, October 24, 2023.
