Kramer explained the baby had no problems following his emergency trip to the hospital while in Florida. The TV personality began her lengthy caption with a reassuring message to her fans that read:
“Part one….Well. Our babymoon didn’t go as planned, but there were some lessons learned. First and foremost, babies are good.”
He then reminded his followers of the week-long health update he gave earlier, writing, “The back pain I’ve been dealing with for weeks isn’t just back pain. Lesson number one…don’t just ignore the pain, because it can be more serious than you think.”
“A lot of times (especially moms) just take the pain away because we’re the last ones to take care of ourselves,” the country singer lamented, noting she had dismissed her symptoms as discomfort caused by her pregnancy. Fortunately, a wealth of fan knowledge saved him from making things worse.
“I just chalked it up to the pregnancy and didn’t tell the doctor because back pain is ‘normal,’ so ‘don’t be a coward’ is what I thought,” the 39-year-old wrote. The turning point came when he got a helpful message in his DMs from a fan. In his words:
“Then someone very sweet in my dms messaged me that it could be my kidney. (I already thanked him for his dm).”
However, Kramer did not immediately take action to check her kidneys, since the couple was due to have a baby, and was still on the plane to Florida. When it arrived, the back pain became unbearable for the “I Got the Boy” singer, and he felt “more pain.”
“Long story short, it’s a bad bacterial infection that gets into the kidney. This resulted in a 2-day hospital stay and antibiotics because I let it go where it should,” admitted the pregnant entertainer. “So. lessons. Listen to your body. You are not a baby or bothering people. If you are sick, talk to your doctor.”
The ACM Award winner advised his followers to learn from his mistakes, stressing that ignoring their symptoms can lead to dire consequences. In addition, the brunette gave a special shout out to her fiancé, who stayed by her side through the ordeal.
“Also, shout out to this amazing guy who I asked to sleep in the beautiful hotel he got for us but instead slept on a pull out chair,” Kramer thanked Russell before writing, “*Tip… Find a guy who doesn’t’ make you feel bad or leave you when you feel bad.”

“A few days later, with a high fever, I finally went to the hospital, and it turned out to be a double kidney infection that spilled into my blood. I had sepsis, and my organs were dying,” the fan explained, describing the incident as “scary and horrible.”
Another claimed he had Kramer’s ordeal on his honeymoon. “My heart loves you!! I ignored him too, not wanting to ruin our honeymoon, and my new husband stayed with me every moment. So sorry for you and so glad you’re doing okay!!!” the follower wrote.
A third recalled that they had a kidney infection during the third trimester of pregnancy and expressed gratitude for the musician’s recovery. “If it gets into the bloodstream, I was told it can affect the baby. Glad you and the baby are safe!! Take care mom!!” the social media user chimed in.
“The same thing happened to me with my third baby. Sweet boy is lying on my right kidney, and it can come out,” revealed one fan. “Long story short, I needed a tube to drain my right kidney, and the sweet boy was born a month early because of the extreme pain I was in.”
