Jana Kramer and her fiance Allan Russell are new parents to a healthy baby boy!
The “One Tree Hill” alum welcomed her first child with the former soccer player and shared the exciting news on social media along with the unique name they chose for their bundle of joy.

Kramer confirmed the happy news of the birth of his son via Instagram. She shared a heartwarming carousel starting with a sweet photo of her and Russell doting on their little one in the hospital.
There are also heartbreaking photos of her older daughter Jolie, 7, and son Jace, 4, doting on their newest sibling. “Welcome to the sweet world of Roman James Russell. Blessed beyond measure for this little miracle. 11.13.2023. 6lbs 1oz,” Kramer’s proud mom wrote in the accompanying caption.
The country singer was showered with congratulations from colleagues and fans. Jessica James Decker wrote, “He’s perfect. So happy for you all,” as Hilarie Burton wrote, “Sweetness!!!! So happy for you Jana!! You all glow!”
The Scottish footballer also celebrated the birth of his first son on Instagram with a sweet message that read: “Welcome to the world Roman James Russell, you are a beautiful baby @kramergirl an absolute fighter an amazing woman and mother who I just admire ❤️ @ troy0_7 congrats on being a big brother and we know you will be a great mentor and inspiration to him xxxx.”
The overjoyed parents opened up about the birth of their child in an interview with People Magazine. “Allan and I are very happy and truly grateful to announce the birth of our son, Roman James Russell. We feel lucky to have been given the opportunity to create something so special together,” they admit.
Opening up about the unique choice for their son’s name, Kramer told the publication, “The name Roman wasn’t really inspired by anyone, it was just a strong name that we both liked, but James (his middle name) is both of our grandfathers’ names, so that is a nod to them.”
Kramer has been quite open about her pregnancy journey, revealing that she “had an early C-section” as a result of “growing fibroids.” She also discussed the health scare that saw her hospitalized during what was supposed to be a babymoon with Russell.

As reported, the “I Got The Boy” singer detailed her trip to the hospital with a touching video of her unborn son’s heartbeat and several photos. “Part one….Well. Our babymoon didn’t go as planned, but there were some lessons learned. First and foremost, good baby,” he began his message.
Kramer told fans he refused to pay attention to his health which landed him in the hospital. “The back pain I have been dealing with for weeks is not just back pain. Lesson number one…don’t just ignore the pain, because it can be more serious than you think,” she wrote. “A lot of times (especially moms) just take the pain away because we’re the last ones to take care of ourselves.”
The 39-year-old explained that she did not consider her symptoms to be discomfort from her pregnancy even though they continued to worsen. However, he received timely messages from fans. “Then a very sweet person in my dms messaged me that it might be my kidney. (I already thanked him for his dm),” he recalled.
After ignoring the pain again, Kramer finally goes to the hospital and finds out it’s the truth. “Long story short, it’s a bad bacterial infection that gets into the kidney. This resulted in a 2 day hospital stay and antibiotics because I let it pass where it should. So. lessons. Listen to your body. You are not a baby or bothering people. If you are sick, talk to your doctor,” advised the entertainer.

Kramer and Russell became an item in January, with the country singer launching their relationship by posting screenshots from a FaceTime date. In March, the lovebirds made their red carpet debut at the 2023 iHeartRadio Music Awards.
Six months into dating, the former athlete popped the question with the help of his kids. “He said my name and I [stood up] and he got down on his knees and then Jolie started jumping up and down. It’s the cutest thing ever,” the singer said on her “Whine Down” podcast.
The couple announced they would be welcoming their first child together a few weeks after the engagement. Congratulations to the happy couple!
