Sunday, June 25, marks fourteen years since the tragic death of the legendary King of Pop, Michael Jackson, and his family paid tribute to his memory.
Michael, an inspiration to many, died of a heart attack in 2009 due to a drug overdose, devastating his worldwide following.
In honor of his memory, his family recently took to social media with touching tributes, starting with his younger sister Janet Jackson, who reminisced about their good times.

The Jacksons Share Touching Tribute in Celebration of Michael Jackson’s Life
Janet, who had a close relationship with her late brother in the spotlight and away from him, took to Instagram to honor Michael’s memory with loving words. She shared two beautiful recent photos of the couple.
The first showcases them when they are young, while the other shows them as adults, decked out in leather and fur and playing video games. Opting not to put his feelings into words, the 57-year-old captioned the post with a white heart emoji.
Following his tribute, his brother Tito Jackson commemorated the late with an old photo of the Jackson 5, in which his four brothers — Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, and Marlon — were seen carrying a grinning Michael.
“The world really is a better place with you in it, Michael,” Tito wrote in the caption. “I miss you.” Sister LaToya Jackson, the fifth of Jackson’s eight children, honored her next brother’s memory with a throwback image of him in military uniform.
Taking the caption, she said, “You will always be missed, loved, and admired for your humility, kindness, ability to love, and incredible talent that you shared with the world! May you continue to RIP.”
The King of Pop’s older brother Jackie followed in his footsteps with a black-and-white image of the late icon, with the caption, “There’s never a day that goes by that I don’t think about my brother, because he’s all around us. “

Afterward, Michael Paris Jackson’s daughter posted an image of her father’s hand holding a poster that read, “I love you.” While he didn’t mention any names on the update, it’s safe to assume it was a tribute to his father, given the timing of the post.
Her brother, Prince Jackson, was not so vague in his Stories as he uploaded a photo of Michael holding him as a baby. “Miss you, Dad,” he wrote while adding the late musician’s song “Gone Too Soon.”
The “Beat It” frontman’s nieces and nephews — Tito’s son Taryll and Jackie’s son Siggy — also joined in the celebration of life, expressing how much they miss Michael. Taryll’s note read in part, “You always pour love into the world. No matter what it gives in return, you keep loving because you believe love will always win. The world misses you.”
Similarly, Siggy declared, “A universal, timeless imprint so strong that it makes people interested in anything related to it. From the bottom of my heart, I am grateful for my family’s hard work in making this last name a blueprint.”
Despite Michael’s death, his estate is ensuring his legacy lives on, not just by running his music business. Recently, his estate sought to restore his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The recovery was disclosed in court documents obtained by The Blast in May as part of an accounting of other expenses incurred by the farm, including taxes.
In the paperwork, the estate paid the “Hollywood Historical Trust” $2,500 to restore the late iconic star, causing it to be listed as “charity” in the accounting.
A Michael Jackson Biopic Is In The Works
The 14th anniversary of the “Thriller” actor’s passing comes months after it was announced that Lionsgate’s upcoming biopic “Michael,” which centers on his inspirational life, is in the works and will star his nephew Jaafar Jackson.
Jaafar was very excited about the gig as he took to Instagram with a thank you message that read, “I am humbled and honored to bring my Uncle Michael’s story to life. To all the fans around the world, I’ll see you soon.”

The film, directed by Antoine Fuqua and co-produced by Graham King, does not have a release date yet, but filming is expected to begin next year or in 2025. The film’s director Fuqua shared the same opinion about the rising Hollywood star as he admitted to Variety . that “it was interesting to watch Jaafar bring Michael to life.”
He also spoke of the “spiritual connection” he felt when he first met the younger Jackson, who had “great chemistry with the camera” and a “natural ability to imitate Michael.”
