Speaking on the “New Heights” podcast with his brother Travis Kelce, Jason expressed his expectation to “get skinny” after retiring from professional football after a 13-year career.

The revelation was made in response to fans’ questions about whether he planned to “lose weight” in retirement, given that he no longer needed the muscular physique required for his previous role as an offensive lineman for the Philadelphia Eagles.

“I will be thin. My goal is 250 lbs,” Jason said, answering fans, per Many people. She added, “This past week I got down to 285 because I knew I was doing this and then I ate cake like three days in a row.”

However, before those comments, he stated that he would engage in marathon running like NFL legend Alan Faneca, who also underwent a weight loss transformation after retirement.

“Yeah, I didn’t do that. I don’t know how Alan does it. I don’t run on pavement,” the former NFL star said, adding that his “knees are pretty messed up.”

Speaking further on the topic, Jason said that he does not plan to lose weight by going on an extreme diet, which seems to be followed by many weight loss enthusiasts.

“There are many ways to do this. I personally don’t subscribe to extreme diets like being vegan or all carnivore or keto. F— no, I didn’t do that,” the former Philadelphia Eagles center said.

She went on to say that she uses MyFitnessPal to track her calories before diving deeper into her plan.

Jason continued, “I think as long as I maintain my protein intake — so I maintain my muscle — and just restrict calories, you’ll start to lose weight. So that’s the plan.”

At this point, Travis interjects with assurances that Jason will stick to his plan.

“This guy has a plan in place, and when Jason Kelce has a plan, it’s going to be—— done,” Travis said, and Jason replied, “Right.”

Unlike Tom Brady, who never retired, Jason Kelce doesn’t seem to be planning on making a similar move. In his podcast, he shared that his declining physical abilities were key to his decision to retire.
