Regarding his career, Momoa is set to reprise his role as Aquaman in the upcoming sequel, “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.”

The film, which will debut before the end of the year, serves as the final DCEU film before the DCU reboot led by James Gunn and Peter Safran.

This has led to speculation that the actor will not reprise the role in the upcoming DCU reboot, an uncertainty he has publicly confirmed.

“I don’t necessarily want it to be the end… [but] I don’t think it’s really, like, a choice,” Momoa said, per Entertainment Tonight. “Actually, I mean, if the audience likes it, then there is a possibility. But now, I’m like, ‘It doesn’t look too good.’”

Momoa went on to say that he is open to playing the role for “a long time” if the opportunity presents itself.

“I love this character.” Momoa continued. “I see where I want it to go. And even in the next 10 years or so, there’s a lot of great things they can do. And I enjoy the role and the world.”
