Jason Tartick and Michael Allio chatted on the “Trade Secrets” podcast, and seemed to bond over their shared grief.

“Everything eventually goes away – good times but also bad times. Be easy on yourself and respect them, appreciate them and absorb them for what they have to offer you in the moment,” Allio explained to Tartick. “Give me joy and give me pain, because that’s better than that feeling of, say, being numb when you’re walking around like a zombie and you don’t feel anything. I’d rather be in excruciating pain than just numbness.”

Tartick responded with, “That’s very true… You’re right.”

“It is a strange situation. I have also told you — and other friends and such — that this separation, which is a small drop in the ocean compared to what you have been through, but I have cried more in the last month or two than I did. is in my life at all,” he continued.

“But there’s something true about feeling that emotion; it makes you feel connected and it makes you feel alive,” he added. “It makes you feel, like, ‘Okay, I know where I am, I feel myself, I connect myself, and I go on.’

Tartick also tells Allio that he “has been in those situations” where one is in a “numb” state of mind and being.

“That numbness, it’s like, there’s nothing worse than just not knowing or not understanding yourself,” he explained. “If you don’t understand yourself, the confusion that comes from that… keeps you moving and the next chapter — whether it’s personal, professional, financial, or whatever it is — is very difficult to put together.”

The former “Bachelor” contestant also opened up about her split from Bristowe in late August. “Kaitlyn [Bristowe] have been in LA working this week so I’m lucky enough to have the boys with me and it’s a real blessing,” referring to their dogs Ramen and Pinot.

He continued, “I was just thinking through this time and it’s like, honestly, we talk a lot about careers and money here, and that’s a big foundation of our lives, but it just comes down to relationships, friendships and those who are in around. you. And even though Ramen and Pinot are animals and pets, they are my best friends, and having them with me is amazing. Having a great support system [in the] The last few months have been everything for me. I’ve leaned on them harder than I’ve ever in my life — ever — leaned on my support system.”

“And it’s just this flood of emotions going back and forth. And what I’ve learned is, you know, grieving is just the whole process of honoring, honoring and loving what is, but then also at the same time, with the same level, and if not more, honoring, honoring. and have love for what is,” added Tartick.
