Despite doubts, the actress finally agreed to join the cast due to the involvement of Tim Burton, the famous director of classic films such as “Beetlejuice” and “The Nightmare Before Christmas.”

“The only reason I’m back is because Tim is a legend, and we just happen to get along really well,” he explained. However, even after considering the offer, Ortega still had some doubts and turned down the role several times before finally accepting it.

Ortega revealed that during the filming of the series in Romania, he and his co-stars sometimes discussed their expectations for the future of the show, but they never delved into the topic. “The actor and I, I remember, we talked about it in Romania; we were like, ‘Hey, what do you think is going to happen with the show?” he said.

“When they told me [it was going viral], I try to look excited about it, like, ‘Oh, wow!’ But mentally, in my head, I hope people won’t pay more attention to that part,” he said each Insider. “It’s confusing. I don’t think people are naturally designed to see them that much.”

The former Disney actress admitted to feeling uncomfortable with the attention that comes with being a public figure.

Despite having some previous experience with fame, Ortega opens up about her early days in Hollywood with being confused, out of place and scared of the industry. “I used to do Disney shows when I was younger,” he said.

“I was a public figure, well-known, or whatever. When I look back, I feel like I was very out of place. I didn’t understand where I was … and you start seeing Hollywood for the first time, and it’s kind of scary, kind of confusing .”

During her early days under public scrutiny, Ortega also described feeling like a “people’s princess” rather than herself. “I feel like a people’s princess. I don’t feel like myself. Then it started to slow down, and I lived a fairly normal life [until ‘Wednesday’].”
