Jennette McCurdy’s book “I’m Glad My Mom Died” has been a hit since it was released earlier this year. She recently shared her gratitude for the book remaining on the New York Times Bestseller list in an Instagram post.

The memoir details McCurdy’s life and covers everything from her mother’s narcissistic abuse, her days as a child actor, battling an eating disorder and everything in between, in a real but also funny way.
The “iCarly” star, 30, posted a carousel of photos with captions expressing her gratitude. “Thank you so much for keeping IGMMD on the New York Times Bestseller list for TWENTY consecutive weeks,” the caption began. “I never thought the book would have such an impact.” McCurdy included a snap of the New York Times Bestselling Hardcover and Combined Print and E-Book lists, as well as a photo of himself in the post.
He continued with his caption, “To know that millions (!!) of you have taken the time to read it and have connected with it so closely… wow. I’m so grateful. The only other thing I’m grateful for is Jeff Probst ?”

Many of his fans left inspirational and positive messages in the comments section of the post. One fan shared her personal story and how the book affected her. “Jennette you don’t know me but I just want to say thank you so much for saying something I never got. Thanks to you (and a great therapist) I now see that I had an abusive mother and was bullied by the industry. Your book made me laugh and cry in a way I have needed for years. Thank you. I’m sure writing this is triggering and stressful but I hope you realize how many people you have helped. Love ?,” he wrote.
Another follower added, “This book is a masterpiece. It touched my soul on a different level. For me, I felt like I was holding my breath throughout the book and was finally able to take a deep breath when I finished it. I cried, I laughed. Thank you for sharing this with us.?”
Other fans also wrote about how reading the book made her feel less alone. “There are moments in your book where I am struck by the similarities in our mothers. At 37, I have been going through this for several years, but your book makes me feel like I am not alone. Thank you x,” she said.

McCurdy has been busy traveling around the country on a college tour promoting his book. He recently completed the first leg of the tour after visiting the University of Miami, UC Riverside, UC Boulder, Brown, Penn State and more. The actress shared a carousel of photos from the tour and listed each school in her caption and thanked everyone for getting involved. He ended his caption, “I’m exhausted, and will now be in my room sleeping and nonstop watching ‘Survivor’ for the next week. Jeff Probst is my hero.”

McCurdy also recently shared her excitement about the book being featured on the inside and inside covers of New York Magazine on Instagram. Lots of support and well wishes filled the comments section.
