Jennifer Aniston continues to live up to the legacy of her best friend Matthew Perry any chance she gets.
For ‘Giving Tuesday’ Aniston proudly showed her support for her late “Friends” co-star’s foundation as they sought donations to continue their fight against substance addiction.
Perry died on October 28 after she was found drowned in her hot tub. Aniston was deeply affected by his departure.

For a day dedicated to celebrating, championing and participating in philanthropic efforts, the Perry Foundation posted a message on Instagram: “The Matthew Perry Foundation is a realization of Matthew’s ongoing commitment to helping others struggling with the disease of addiction. It honors his legacy, guided by his own words and fueled by his passion to make a difference in as many lives as possible.”
Alongside a photo of a younger Perry, the page shared a poignant quote from the late star about addiction that read, “Addiction is too strong for anyone to defeat. But together, one day at a time, we can beat it.”
In a separate statement, the foundation explained how the donation will honor the “Fools Rush In” cast. “It is important to our family to honor Matthew’s legacy. The potential that the Matthew Perry Foundation has to help those living with this disease is something we are proud to bring to the world.”
Perry’s stepfather, journalist Keith Morrison, also took to social media to spread the message while encouraging his followers to consider supporting the cause. “This is not what I usually do, this field. The Matthew Perry Foundation was launched on November 3, with the goal of “recognizing addiction as a disease, addressing the complex stigma that prevents individuals from seeking and accessing care, and passionately advocating for better and more equitable treatment.”

Aniston’s love for her late co-star was undeniable and she radiated it in her statement addressing his passing. The award-winning actress and her “Friends” cast broke their silence on Perry’s death weeks after her funeral.
The “Murder Mystery” star shared several photos, including a screenshot of a conversation she had with Perry before her death. “Oh boy this was so deep… Saying goodbye to our Matty has been a crazy wave of emotions I’ve never experienced before. We all experience loss at some point in our lives. Loss of life or loss of love,” he began his statement.
She continued, “Being able to really SIT in this grief allows you to feel moments of joy and gratitude for having loved someone that deeply. And we love her so much. She’s part of our DNA. There’s always been six of us. This is a chosen family that for – forever changing our course and what we will go through.”
Aniston spoke in depth about her close friend, adding, “For Matty, he KNOWS he likes to make people laugh. As he said himself, if he didn’t hear ‘laughter’ he thought he would die. His life really depended on it. And did he succeed in doing just that. He made us all laugh. And laugh out loud. In recent weeks, I’ve been pouring out our texts to each other. Laugh and cry then laugh again. I will keep it forever. I found a text he sent me out of nowhere one day. It says it all.”
His touching message concluded, “Matty, I love you so much and I know you are now completely at peace and not in any pain. I talk to you everyday… sometimes I can almost hear you say “could you get any crazier?” Rest sister. You always make my day…”
