Jennifer Hudson may be showing off her latest rumored boyfriend, Lonnie Rashid Lynn, better known as Common, more than a year after she ended her relationship with Tiffany Haddish.
In honor of the rapper’s 51st birthday on Monday, March 13, Hudson couldn’t help but celebrate on social media. However, fans weren’t too fond of the revelation, expressing their displeasure with the supposed relationship.

The “Confirmation” actress recently marked the rapper’s birthday with a beautiful message on Instagram. He declared, “Team Jhud, please help me wish one of the brightest lights, legends of Chicago and hip hop, the one and only @common, happy birthday today!”
Next to the note was a cute image of a beaming couple posing hand-in-hand in a corridor. Hudson wore a deep purple velvet dress with a turtleneck and long sleeves, while her rumored beau wore a gray ensemble consisting of pants and a button-down jacket with peach underwear.
The Broadway star wore her hair in a high bun on top of her head as she paired her outfit with dangling silver earrings, matching bracelets and rings. Despite the alleged couple’s adorable looks, fans weren’t too impressed with their engagement as some took to the comments to voice their opinions.
One Jhud follower wished Common a happy birthday but hoped he wasn’t the singer’s new boo, adding that he could do better.
They also wrote, “Don’t get me wrong, he’s a great guy, but he’s not committed, and he’s hurt some people.” Another fan agreed, writing, “This guy has commitment issues; please don’t be another piece in his jigsaw puzzle.”
A third commenter concerned for Hudson’s well-being wished the celebrant a happy birthday but advised the 41-year-old to “run.” Another fan noted that the “Killer Hunter” actor was “emotionally unavailable,” while a concerned commenter begged Hudson not to fall in love with his rumored partner.
The same fan added, “Just a suggestion! No woman needs a “normal” guy – You deserve better.” At the same time, a sixth follower exclaimed:

After their split in 2021, the couple remained in touch, but speculation later arose about Common’s involvement with Hudson which neither confirmed.
