While chatting with Cameron Diaz for Interview MagazineLawrence shared that she always wanted to do a comedy, but finding something funny enough was a struggle.
“It was a blast. I’ve always wanted to do comedy, and I’ve been asked a million times,” he admitted. “I’ve never been against it, but you’ve seen the movies that came out. I don’t want to name anything in particular, but there’s nothing funny.”

“No Hard Feelings,” directed by acclaimed director Gene Stupnitsky, follows Lawrence’s unabashedly uninhibited character Maddie, who responds to a Craigslist ad from a wealthy couple looking for a date for their introverted 19-year-old son, Percy. However, he proved to be a challenge for her.

He expressed his nervousness about working with actors who are deep into their characters, often known as method actors. Acknowledging their commitment and dedication to their craft, Lawrence admits to being nervous about the unpredictable approach she has to maintain with them.
“I would be nervous to work with someone who is Method [acting],” he explained. “Because I don’t know how to talk to them, because I have to have a character? That would make me nervous.”
A method actor is an actor who uses the Stanislavski system or method acting technique, a school of acting that emphasizes emotional authenticity and immersion in character. They strive to create realistic and layered performances using their personal emotions and experiences.

“I was always live/dead live/dead until I did ‘American Hustle’ and worked with Christian Bale, who I noticed when the cameras started rolling, and the crew started setting up, and it would take about 10 seconds to act, he [Bale] will start getting ready,” said the actress. “I looked at it and was like, ‘That looks like a really good idea.’ So I started doing it.”
Lawrence was also asked to reveal the familiar skills she had learned for the role. “I learned how to pick a lock on Red Sparrow. I don’t use it, but knowing that I can is great,” she said, adding that she learned how to hold the falcon for “Serena.”
