Actress Jennifer Lawrence recently revealed that she once almost had an abortion in her 20s. Lawrence was featured in the October issue of Vogue and said she fully intended to have an abortion when she unexpectedly miscarried.
A few years later, Lawrence got pregnant again during filming and suffered another miscarriage, but this time, she had to undergo surgery. The actress, now married to Cooke Maroney, just gave birth to her first child, a boy they named Cy.
During the interview, Lawrence also spoke about his views on the US Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade and on the push for stricter gun laws and control in America. Lawrence has always made her stance on abortion and women’s rights very clear.

While he Vogue cover interview, Lawrence revealed that she once got pregnant in her 20s and was determined to have an abortion. The “Hunger Games” actress said she was “one hundred percent intent” on having the procedure when she unexpectedly miscarried.
Years later, while filming for “Don’t Look Up,” Lawrence became pregnant again and suffered another miscarriage. When she miscarried, she had to undergo a dilation and curettage (D&C), an operation to remove all the tissue from her uterus.
As someone who has experienced the reality of wanting an abortion and making that choice for herself, Lawrence has spoken separately about women’s rights and the freedom for women to have a safe abortion. He also reflected on this and other issues during the interview.

He Thinks About Abortion And Gun Control

Lawrence also spoke Vogue about his thoughts on the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade. The Academy Award winner said, “I remember thinking about it a million times when I was pregnant. Thinking about what was happening to my body. And I had a great pregnancy… But every moment of my life is different. And it sometimes occurs to me: What if I have to do this?”

Lawrence also spoke about gun control and legislation in America, saying she doesn’t understand parents who don’t push for gun control and stricter laws. He said, “I’m raising a boy who will go to school one day. Guns are the number one cause of death for children in the United States. And people still vote for politicians who receive money from the NRA . It shocks me.”
The “Red Sparrow” actor continued, “I mean if Sandy Hook didn’t change anything? We as a country just went, Okay! We’re allowing our children to give their lives for our right to the second amendment that was written 200 years ago then.”

Jennifer Lawrence Can’t Discuss Politics With Her Family

Lawrence was born in Kentucky into a very politically conservative family. During the interview, he admitted that it was very difficult for him to talk about politics and political issues with his family. The “Silver Linings Playbook” star revealed that she had previously “fired a text message” but never received a reply.
She said that after doing this, she would “feel bad and send a picture of the baby.” However, the actor insisted that he “can’t hang out with non-political people anymore. He said, “You live in the United States. You have to be political. It’s too bad. Politics kills people.”
