Jennifer Lawrence Worried She’d Love Cat More Than Her Son!

The “Silver Linings Playbook” actress has been a mom for seven months now, but hasn’t spoken publicly about her baby or motherhood.

In a new interview with Voguethe award-winning actress revealed the name and gender of her little bundle of joy.

JLaw gave birth to a baby boy named Cy in February. The actress and her husband, Cooke Maroney, decided on the name Cy after the post-war American painter Cy Twombly, who was one of her husband’s favorite artists.

Explosion reported her pregnancy last year.

Lawrence’s rep confirmed the couple is expecting their first child together in September 2021.

It was a summer of love for the couple in 2018 when they started dating, and they got engaged in February 2019.

They exchanged ‘I Dos’ in October 2019 in Newport, Rhode Island.

JLaw Worries She Won’t Fall In Love With Baby Right Away

JLaw admitted it was “scary” to talk about being a mother after friends warned her she might not “fall in love right away” after giving birth.

Fortunately for the actress, giving birth had the opposite effect on her.

She admits that once she gave birth, it felt like “the first day of my life.”

Although Lawrence loves her baby and being a mother, she resists talking about it because everyone’s journey is different.

“It’s very scary to talk about motherhood. Just because it’s so different for everyone,” he explained. “If I say, It was amazing from the beginning, some people will think, It wasn’t amazing for me in the beginning, and feel bad. Fortunately, I have many honest girlfriends. Who’s like, ‘It’s scary. You may not connect immediately. You may not fall in love right away.’ So I feel very ready to forgive.”

Before welcoming her son, Lawrence didn’t think she could love the little one as much as she loves her cat.

“I remember walking with one of my best friends at, like, nine months, and being like, ‘Everybody keeps saying that I’m going to love my baby more than my cat. But that’s not true. Maybe I’m going to love him like my cat? ‘” Lawrence admitted.

Lo and behold, Lawrence ended up loving her baby more than her cat.

“The morning after I gave birth, I felt like my whole life started over. Like, today is the first day of my life. I just glared. I just fell in love. I also fell in love with all the babies everywhere,” he said. “Newborn babies are amazing. They are pink, swollen and fragile survivors. I love all babies. Now I hear a baby crying in a restaurant and I’m like, Awwww, preciousssss.…”

Lawrence also admits that watching her husband become a father has stretched her heart to capacities she didn’t know existed.

She also told about the miscarriage she experienced. He was in his early 20s. The actress was planning to have an abortion before her body naturally aborted the baby.

“I had a miscarriage alone in Montreal,” Lawrence admits.

He suffered another loss while filming “Don’t Look Up” in late 2020/early 2021.
