Shannon Beador is back on social media following her arrest for hit-and-run and driving under the influence on September 16.
The “Real Housewives of Orange County” star reportedly drove erratically into a residence and crashed into it as she attempted to park her car and make it look like she was walking her pet.
Shannon Beador Focused On Getting Better
The 59-year-old revealed his thoughts in a short video on his Instagram page, which also marks his return to social media. Beador gave a quick status update to his fans and followers since the arrest saying:
“I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted, and there’s been a lot of discussion about what’s been going on recently. But unfortunately, right now, I am not in a position to comment. But there will be times when I can, and I intend to be open, honest, and genuine.”
The TV personality takes a short walk with her dog Archie in the clip as she shares a glimpse of the pup with fans. She also revealed that she was “focusing on getting healthy, getting back to myself, and walking Archie,” as the clip garnered over 41k likes.
Earlier in September, the star was arrested on DUI charges in the early morning hours of September 16. Per ET, the star was briefly arrested and released. Her attorney, Michael Fell, shared that the reality star is “very apologetic and remorseful.”
He added that they are awaiting official information on the case and that Beador is fully prepared to accept responsibility for his negligence. Another source shared that the incident happened when Beador came home from a party and discovered he had forgotten his phone. The source continued:
“He was unable to call Uber without his phone and decided to drive back to the location, resulting in the accident. Shannon is upset and knows she made a big mistake. He was always against drinking and driving and never did. He told friends that this error in judgment would not happen again.”
His friend Jeff Lewis was also shocked by the incident as he claimed he had never known Beador to drink and drive. He added:
“I don’t think Shannon is a drunk. As a close friend of his, I think he’s going through a lot of personal struggles right now and I think he may have become dependent on alcohol, but I don’t believe he’s an alcoholic.”
‘RHOC’ Star’s Ex-Husband Doesn’t Want Their Children To Appear On The Show

In 2021, Shannon was involved in a messy fight with her ex-husband, David Beador, over their two daughters. The reality star asked the judge to allow her two 17-year-old daughters to continue filming on the show, since her eldest, then 20, was no longer a minor. In emphasizing the show’s value to his finances, Beador said:
“Show shooting is my main career and is part of and supports my main source of income, which I use to take care of my children. If my children do not film on the show, I will be in breach of my contract and will lose my job, and with it my ability to earn an income.”
RHOC executive producers have made it clear that Shannon will be removed from the show if access to the inside of her home and all of her children is restricted.
However, David filed a counter-suit, stating that although he had allowed the children to participate in filming in the past, things were now much different in their family. She continued that she has a new family now and is trying to keep things as private as possible, adding that:
“My wife now also has two other children of her own who do not need to expose their mother to possible comments disparaging our family on national television.”
According to The Blast, David admitted that he found it “troubling that these proposed limitations are unacceptable” with Shannon and her attorney despite sharing joint legal custody of the children. He added that it appears Shannon has decided not to honor his wishes or those of his new wife and daughter during the filming of season 16.
