Lopez joined in Today in an interview and talked about how she embraced her body and heritage at the start of her Hollywood career. The actress told the host, Morgan Radford, about how she was encouraged to be proud of herself as a child, so she never let anyone “cast” her into something else.
“It’s just who I am,” the “Marry Me” actress said through People’s Magazine. “So when I go into this world, like Hollywood, where we’re not represented at all, I almost feel like a unicorn. ‘I’m Latina. It’s like, everybody’s like a size zero model, tall, blonde — beautiful, a certain kind of beauty — but there’s another kind of beauty that I grew up with,” Lopez said.

The actress doesn’t hold back when it comes to giving back to her community and, over the years, has helped hundreds of Latina entrepreneurs. The Limitless Labs Foundation is the artist’s home for his philanthropic work and recently partnered with Grameen America, a non-profit organization.
The partnership will reportedly seek to invest up to $14 billion in as many Latina-owned businesses as possible by 2030. Lopez and Andrea Jung, CEO and president of the organization made the announcement during the Raising Latina Voices event.
