Former “Jeopardy!” champion Amy Schneider is officially married!
After winning over a million dollars and setting a new second-place record with a 40-game winning streak, Amy revealed that she won the top prize when her girlfriend, Genevieve Davis, popped the question in February.
On Tuesday, September 27, Amy shocked her social media followers when she revealed that she actually tied the knot with Genevieve a few months ago in a secret wedding ceremony!

In a social media post shared on both Instagram and Twitter on Tuesday night, Amy revealed that she and Genevieve tied the knot in May, but are planning a more lavish affair next summer.
“One year ago today, I was in LA, waiting to fulfill a dream,” Amy began, referring to her record-breaking run on “Jeopardy!”.
“The years since then have been full of good days, but the best was on May 9, when Genevieve and I got married,” he revealed. “Without him, other good days would not have happened. I am so lucky to be able to share my life with him!”
In a separate Instagram post, she shared the same three photos but with a longer message.

“Genevieve and I are pleased to announce that on Monday, May 9, we were married in a small private ceremony at the Alameda County Recorder’s Office,” he said. “We’re still going to have a traditional wedding & reception next summer, but our lives are too busy this year to go that far in planning, and we can’t wait to wait that long to express our love and commitment to each other. “
“Thank you, everyone for your support!” he concluded. “Jeopardy!” official account was one of the first to congratulate the happy couple, simply writing, “Love!”

In a March 2022 interview with the Los Angeles Times, Amy, 42, and Genevieve, 25, reflected on their engagement and their future together.
Amy told the outlet that “we both felt – early on in our relationship – that this was where it was headed, but I was very surprised by it.”
“I’ve known for a long time that it was going to happen, so it’s just a formality, in a way,” he added. “But actually being engaged is a really good feeling, and I’m surprised by that.”

The couple first met in July 2020 during a small friendly ceremony. At the time, Amy’s friend was dating Genevieve’s brother, who unexpectedly took her sister on a tour of their apartment. Amy gives Genevieve a tarot reading and then offers to let her spend the night on her couch.
“My first impression was … she was very thoughtful and calm and very intelligent,” Genevieve said of Amy.
Amy replied, “I think my first impression was that you were so cute.”

Genevieve revealed that Amy was “surprised” when he proposed to her on Tuesday, February 8, after previously hinting that he would pop the question on either Valentine’s Day or the couple’s one-year anniversary on February 20.
“Everything about it was perfect,” Amy told the outlet. “Then we had … balloons hanging around our apartment for a while, but, you know.” A week later, Amy planned her own proposal to Genevieve in Sonoma, their favorite romantic dinner spot.
“But then I didn’t do it right at the beginning, and then it got closer to the end, and I felt like I had eaten too much,” Schneider recalls. “My stomach didn’t feel great, and … it didn’t feel like the right moment. Then we went back to the Airbnb and hung out and talked and ate some edibles or whatever, and … I suddenly impulsively decided, ‘Well, this is the time.’”
