Morton Bailey Jr. was the maternal grandfather of Jesse Watters and publisher of Better Homes and Garden Magazine.
His paternal grandfather was a great cardiologist at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Newington, named Dr. Franklin Benjamin Watters. His paternal grandfather was also a professor at the College of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Connecticut.
