The former member of Little Mix revealed that sisterhood is not brotherhood. Since quitting the group in 2020, he has not spoken to any of them and has never seen any of them in person.
Keep in mind two members of Nelson’s group have babies. Perry Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock welcome joy, and Edwards gets engaged and deals with a horrific break-in at her home.
“Being in a girl group, you’re a machine that’s always running,” Nelson said Sun. “You don’t have a minute to breathe and take your time if you need space. That was something I struggled with.”
Nelson also addressed the mental health struggles he faced while in the band. “For me, my mental health issues were an ongoing thing when I was in Little Mix. I struggled with my body and was constantly teased – and I struggled with it.”

Nelson insists that he has no ill will towards his time with the band, but when you gotta go, you gotta go. He does “what’s right for me.” He elaborated, “So no, we haven’t spoken since.”
But, as mentioned earlier, Nelson doesn’t hate the girls and even has an open mind to the possibility of meeting one day. “Don’t say never, but I honestly wish them the best on their solo journey now, which is exciting.”

She added that she was “rooting for all of them” in motherhood and careers and whatever other endeavors women do, but now, Nelson is focusing on her solo career, which her band members criticized.
Edwards, Pinnock and last band member Jade Thirlwall slammed Nelson in late 2021 after he released the single “Boyz” featuring Nicki Minaj. They bashed him for “black fishing” in his music video.

Nelson badmouthed his former bandmate when he dropped the music video for “Boyz,” His skin tone was… colorful, let’s say. His “tan” was deeper than usual; according to Pinnock, Edwards and Thirlwall, his whole appearance was offensive to colored people.
They ended up unfollowing him on all their social media accounts and continued the group without him. Meanwhile, the dragged Nelson is far from done. Social media took to calling her out on her appearance and basically tearing everything they could about her.

Some accused him of not being the best in the group to go solo. Others were upset with Nicki Minaj for not checking on the homegirls as she walked out of that dressing room and onto the set. And many are rooting for her dating Sean Sugar, a man of color, a relationship that began shortly before the release of her new music at the time.
The relationship ended, and she was with singer Zion Foster.
