The event, hosted by US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden, saw the couple beaming in their stunning all-black outfits on Wednesday night. They, along with other celebrities, including actress Angelina Jolie, were present in Sunday’s finest to honor South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol and First Lady Kim Keon Hee.

When Chip and Joanna attended a lavish black-tie dinner held in the East Room, they made sure they made a statement with their outfits. While Chip matched a three-piece black tuxedo with collared white underwear, his wife stunned in a floor-length tube dress and minimal make-up.
The only jewelry on the home improvement star’s body are small earrings, a wedding ring and her fashion. Her long hair, parted in the middle, was styled to one side of her face, emphasizing her exposed neckline. The New York Times bestseller shared her and her husband’s views in a five-slide post that began with them posing together in front of the White House.
The couple looked happy in the second image, which showed Chip with both hands in his pockets while his wife held a small black purse with gold trim in her hand. A cross-section of the guests appears on the third slide, with the fourth being a selfie of the founder with an excited Magnolia at the dinner. In the caption, he wrote:
“It is an honor to be a part of tonight’s State Dinner to celebrate the 70-year alliance between the United States and my mother’s home country of South Korea. Starting with our incredible trip to Seoul, this evening was another reminder of how proud I am to be a Korean American.”
In the first few hours of uploading, it has received more than 300k likes and almost 3k comments from fans, like this one who typed, “Yay! That is so exciting, Jo!!! You look amazing!!! So glad you got to experience that with your sweet family.”

“Special event to go to, incredible night,” wrote a second fan. A third said, “I love your success and how genuine you both are. Congratulations on all your awards.”
The post also drew a backlash from critics who shared their frustration that Chip and Joanna were “democrats.” One never vows to buy their product again because “Canoodling with the Bidens is disgusting.”
Although a few people came to her defense, the atmosphere was certainly more welcoming when the 45-year-old beauty posted a clip of her family’s trip to Seoul on Instagram earlier this month.
According to The Blast, the compilation features some sweet moments, like the Baylor University alum and his mother trying on traditional hanbok and family bonding at a baseball game. The video also showcases his dad — Jerry — enjoying a walk with him, Chip, and their kids, walking around and taking in the scenery.
Joanna explained via caption that the trip reflected her mother’s desire to take her “three daughters to Seoul, Korea when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom.” More than five thousand people have commented on how “beautiful” the compilation is in the comments section of the post.

Chip and Joanna had a disaster when they had to pull one of their shows from the Magnolia Network just two days after it premiered on Disney+. As The Blast reported in January 2022, the series “Homework” features Utah-based couple Andy and Candis Meredith, turning a school into their family’s home.
While both of them appear to have done an excellent job on their properties, they have had a rough experience working on other people’s homes. One of their affected customers, Aubry Benion, whose kitchen was apparently remodeled by the “Fixer Upper” host in 2019, shared her experience via Instagram.
He claimed, work that should have taken less than a month to complete ended up taking five months. Additionally, the project was fraught with delays, such as drainage problems after the Merediths installed a sprinkler system.
Benion said the match resulted in a near-flood situation because the pair had built decks in the same position. He eventually gave up after he complained about the challenges caused by the neglected renovations.
After receiving more negative feedback from other customers, Magnolia Network released a statement claiming they were investigating the allegations. Meredith’s family also denied any wrongdoing in the matter.
