John Cena Just Set THIS Heartwarming Guinness World Record

“PeaceMaker” star John Cena currently holds the highest number of Make-A-Wish requests in the world. The actress joined the foundation in the early 2000s, and by 2012, she had granted her 300th wish, her 1000th Make-A-Wish overall.

Because he is one of the most famous people in the world, Cena is reportedly the most requested celebrity in the foundation. No celebrity has granted up to 200 Make-A-Wish wishes, while the DC star just passed his 650th mark.

In a previous interview, the wrestler revealed that he enjoys being a part of the foundation and, when needed, goes out of his way to be there for children who ask for him. Cena also said he wants the kids to have a lasting experience and not feel like they’re up against something monumental.

According to Make-A-Wish’s mission statement, the organization was founded to grant “life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.” The statement continued, “A wish is more than just a good thing. And it is much more than a gift or a single event in time. Only the act of making their wish come true can give them the courage to comply with their medical treatment.”

Cena’s involvement in the Make-A-Wish foundation is in keeping with WWE tradition. Over the past few years, approximately 6,000 requests to speak with superstars in the organization have been granted, and requests to attend live wrestling shows.

The first person in the organization to start the tradition was Hulk Hogan in the early 1980s, as wrestlers were the most in-demand at the time. The number of martial artists who granted double wishes after that, numbered over a hundred. WWE chief brand officer Stephanie McMahon also made a $1 million commitment to the foundation in 2015.

According to reports, some of Cena’s family reached out to grant their son’s wish to still keep in touch with the actor. They also revealed that the 45-year-old’s time with the children helped improve their attitudes and physical condition.
