John Legend recently reminisced about the early stages of his relationship with his beautiful wife, Chrissy Teigen. They are, however, not unusual memories as she admits that she was not the best partner to the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model at the time.
Fortunately for the couple, they have shared over eight years of happy marriage and managed to overcome the initial struggle to fall in love with each other.

The award-winning singer got candid with her personal life during a recent chat. Legend admitted during an episode of the “On Purpose With Jay Shetty” podcast, that he wasn’t fully devoted in the early stages of his relationship with Teigen.

The couple began their romance after first meeting on the set of a music video in 2006. Although intending to take things slow, their passion for each other was so strong that they finally tied the knot in 2013.
While walking down memory lane, she said, “I think I was more selfish back then. I wasn’t a great partner at the beginning of our relationship.”
He went on to say, “Although I really like him and am very excited to be with him. I still care about myself. I’m in my mid-20s, not quite ready to be the committed partner I am now.” However, the “Nervous” singer stated that as time went on, she realized that she needed to do better and fight for the relationship she loved so much.
The record producer asserted, “When you stop being so selfish when you think about not only the joy you get from a situation and the fun you get from it, but also think about your responsibility and your commitment in that situation, you just grow, and you become mature.”
He, however, assured that achieving that realization is not that difficult, adding, “Part of it is that it’s just a matter of time. You need time to become the person you want to be.” The 43-year-old seems to have matured when it comes to relationships, and it’s proven, seeing how far he and his influencer wife have come so far.
The ” Minefields” singer wonderfully concluded, “We’ve been through enough together where it really strengthens us and makes us stronger. The test has made us grow together and realize things about each other that we didn’t know.”

Per The Blast Legend marked their 9th wedding anniversary with a song called “Wonder Woman” dedicated to the mother of his children. The pianist took to Instagram, where he posted a beautiful clip of his recently released music video for “Wonder Woman,” singing the model’s praises.
In the short video, the doting husband is shirtless belting out the happy lyrics of the song while his beautiful wife, who usually appears in some of his music videos, sways along to the song.
Captioning the post, he professed his love for Teigen, writing, “I married my Wonder Woman 9 years ago today. Happy Birthday, my love. You never cease to amaze me.”

Earlier this month, the successful model, while chatting with her followers on Instagram, accidentally showed off her romantic interactions with her husband and revealed the cheeky nickname he gave her.
The “Bring The Funny” judge, while taking to her Instagram story to advertise one of her products to her fans, was interrupted by her handsome boo. The “Made To Love” singer said, “I love that,” referring to Teigen’s advertising skills.
However, the pregnant TV personality, who was happy to hear her husband’s words, didn’t immediately reply, “oh, thank you, dad,” before adding in a seductive voice, “I love you.”
The happy couple, in response to his wife’s cute comment, playfully stuck his tongue out at her.
