John Mayer is this week’s celebrity guest on “Call Her Daddy,” and the teaser trailer does NOT disappoint.
The singer touched on his Lothario ways in his 20s, “producing irrelevance” and messing with the narrative of himself as a human being.

It cuts to the singer telling Alex Cooper, “It’s like I’ve produced irrelevance. That’s really scary to do. It’s really scary to get out of that loop when you’re in a news cycle, news cycle, news cycle.”
Cooper replied, “How did you make that decision?”
“It was made for me… [by] my actions,” Mayer admitted. “A lot of what I did in my 20s was an attempt to reset a misunderstanding and I made it worse. In that moment, I would change every song I would write to not have that feeling. No doubt,” he said frankly. “I’d say, ‘take all the songs I’ve ever written to stop this feeling from happening right now.'”

Of course, the comments section was flooded with questions for Cooper to ask Mayer.

“The time was so fast and so fast… it seemed so drastic and crazy,” he explained of their personal relationship. “There’s a lot going on.”
Cooper asked, “Your husband was in a very open relationship, they were kids. People were obsessed with their ideas. People were confused by the timeline you were talking about. ‘Is he a home wrecker?’ Were you romantically involved with Justin at the same time as him (Selena).
“It’s not my nature to mess with someone’s relationship. I won’t do that. I was raised better than that,” he said. “I was never with him when he was in a relationship with anyone. That was the end.”

Hailey and JB got together when she was 18 and he was 22.
The “Purpose” singer was involved with SelGo, Hailey, Sofia Richie, and others throughout his “bad boy” phase.
The couple got engaged in 2018 following Selena and Justin’s last attempt to try and make a relationship work in 2017.
Hailey explained a lot of the hate and backlash online came from die-hard fans thinking she “stole” Justin from Selena.

“It was the right thing for them to close that door. They had no relationship then. It closes a chapter and I think it’s the best thing for her to move on and get engaged and married and move on with her life that way,” explained the Rhode Beauty creator.
Hailey admitted she and the Rare Beauty founder have been talking since all the drama happened.
“This is all respect. It’s all love,” he said, adding that there was “no personal drama” between him and Selena.
“Both of us owe no one anything but respect. I have a lot of respect for him, and I feel hopeless [between us]. I respect him,” Hailey said of SelGo. “Everybody on our side knows what happened, and we’re good, and we can leave it clear and respectful.”
