It’s been a year since comedian Bob Saget tragically lost his life at the age of 65, and his dear friend, John Mayer, gave a moving tribute to honor the late entertainer’s memory.
Mayer poured out her soul in a lengthy message posted on her Instagram page as she expressed her grief over the loss of her friend on the first anniversary of her passing.

Surfing his Instagram page, the “Last Train Home” singer posted a picture of the late comedian at the airport with himself and his wife Saget. The late Saget looked very excited in the photo as he grinned widely as he stared into the camera. He was wearing a black jacket and wearing a pair of sunglasses.
Opening up in the accompanying caption, the “New Light” singer began, “One year ago today, we lost Bob Saget. I love the man. I love to say “I love the man.” Shortly after he left us, I didn’t could finish those three words without breaking up, but now I say them with all the simplicity and complexity that love itself requires.
He went on to refer to Saget as “otherworldly when he was here” and revealed that he shared countless precious memories with the “Full House” star when he was alive. She went on to reveal her feelings, writing, “Grief is a journey, and it’s a deep journey that the person you lost is also on; they leave space around you and slowly climb the ladder to find space with you.”
Mayer later declared, “I miss him all the time, but the memories? It’s a solid object, and today we’re going to take it out and hold it and change it and remember how much Bob Saget meant to us. I love that guy, and I always will.”
His emotional writing seems to have touched people’s hearts and got over 200,000 likes and even triggered a reaction from Saget’s widow, Kelly Rizzo. Commenting under her post, she wrote, “Man, does she love you. And he always will. I mean, look at his face… that sheer happiness is a “yay I get to fly home with John!” look. – so glad you caught it ❤️❤️.”
Other fans offered sweet comments, with one suggesting to Mayer, “Time to write a song.” While another wrote, “Wonderful words, John! ??️ thank you for sharing such an amazing honor ?.”

There’s no doubt the deadly stand-up comedian has taken a toll on the “Wild Blue” singer, who shares an unbreakable bond with Saget. Despite the pain he was forced to endure, Mayer took advantage of every opportunity he got to celebrate and remember his dear friend.
According to The Blast, the 45-year-old honored Saget’s memory after taking to his Instagram to write a letter for the entertainer’s 66th birthday following his death.
She shared a profile picture of the “Madagascar” actor along with a touching birthday message that read, “We all miss you here so much. Even as the days without you continue to grow, so does our understanding of all that we admire and admire about you.
She went on to describe how the late Saget brought “endless joy to every moment” and confessed, writing, “I really wish we could have dinner tonight. I love you so much.”

Opening up about her sadness in the caption, she wrote, “I accepted reality a long time ago, but it still doesn’t seem real when I see photos or videos of her being so full of life.”
She, however, declared herself the “luckiest” person to have married the man of her dreams and seen him do good in the world. He went on to add, “Some people can live 1,000 lifetimes and never live life as fully as he did.”
Paying tribute to her late husband, she wrote, “You really won life, my love. And that’s why I will be forever grateful for him and all the endless love he gave me until my last day.”
