His innocent hands sketched a picture of Jeff with a heart that went up to heaven, with me , waving goodbye. A ladder of hearts, and next to the top heart, he wrote God. A simple but powerful symbol of love and loss that penetrated my grief.”

In his heartfelt tribute, the actor detailed his relationship with the late musician, emphasizing their deep bond and connection.

“Jeff is more than just a friend; it was he who brought the harmonies of The Beach Boys into my life, and with them, a spectrum of color and joy that I never dreamed would be a part of my life,” Stamos wrote in his tribute. “He was a vibrant energy, a glowing soul whose laughter and wisdom touched everyone he met. He was a brother in spirit, guiding, lifting, and loving me, sometimes more than I thought I deserved”

She noted that the late Foskett taught her that “love is a beautiful and necessary part of our lives, but it comes at a cost – the unbearable pain of loss.”

The actress continued, “It’s the kind of pain that can make us question whether we should allow ourselves to love deeply, completely. Should we guard our walls and protect our hearts from the world in an effort to avoid the sharp, overwhelming sadness that follows when we say goodbye to someone we love?”

Stamos noted that reflecting on Foskett’s “extraordinary life” and its impact on him helped him realize that “pain” was the price paid “for the privilege of knowing and loving someone like” the late musician.

“However, when I think of the 40 years we shared – the heart-pounding laughter, the music we believed changed lives, and the unshakable bond of brotherhood – I cannot help but feel grateful. Grateful for every moment, every note, every piece of wisdom he shared with me,” Stamos said.
