John Stamos is putting all future plans on hold to expand his family.
The “Full House” star has assured fans that while it’s part of the show, he and his wife, Caitlin McHugh Stamos, who share five-year-old son Billy, aren’t currently interested in giving him a sibling. The eye-opening confession came after John shared his feelings about his baby boy who started kindergarten last month.
John Stamos’ Son May Have Influenced His Parents’ Decision To Not Have Any More Children
With just hours to go before the launch of his book, “If You Would Have Told Me: A Memoir,” John has opened up about his and Caitlin’s potential to expand their family of three.
Starting the conversation, the 60-year-old admitted that he and his wife had previously planned to expand their family “but it didn’t look like that in the cards.” Going further in the discussion, the “Daduk” alum shared:
“By the way, [Billy’s] asking for a child all the time, like a brother or sister. If we take three minutes without paying attention to him, he goes crazy.”

The doting father of one doubled down on the preschooler being part of the problem, noting that the child would not know how to handle a new baby in the house. In the words of “Fuller House” executive producer to PEOPLE:
“He could never deal with siblings. No, I know he can’t. He liked it at first. Oh, there’s a little baby, then me. We have to deal with a child.”
While we wait to see if she will have more interesting details to share about her family in her upcoming memoir, we do know for sure that she discusses her story as a victim of sexual abuse for the first time in the book. John said during the interview:
“I remember a little. It’s always there, but I pack it like people, don’t I?”
The Elvis Presley fan admitted that during that period, he chose not to tell anyone because he rationalized it by thinking, “Ah, girl, boy.” She described the experience as trying to “play dead” in the hope it would stop her, even though the abuse was not particularly aggressive.
He mused, “I don’t know, it’s not good.” Finally, the turning point for the Soap Award winner to consider sharing her experiences from a traumatic period in her life was when she received recognition for her advocacy of abused children. He stated, “I started writing it, and that’s when it really came out.”
Unfortunately, John changed his mind about writing about his experience, as he claims, “And then I thought, ‘No, tonight is not about me. It’s about children. I will pack it again until the right time. Otherwise, I’m a fake f—. It was like, ‘Come on.’”
Despite his eventual decision to discuss the abuse openly for the first time in his memoirs, John is careful not to dwell on that period of his life at length. The reason was that even though he felt the need to address it, he didn’t want it to take away from the rest of the book by reserving the focus.

Last month, John announced Billy’s latest achievement on his Instagram Story, accompanied by a cute photo taken on the page. The picture shows the rear view of the five-year-old as she bends down to pet their adorable black dog standing next to a black SUV.
The cute boy was wearing shorts, a short-sleeved shirt, gray socks, Adidas shoes and was carrying a blue patterned backpack. “First day of kindergarten with @poshpeanut thx,” her dad wrote at the top of the post, adding, “I’m not crying, you,” at the bottom.
It’s not the first time the “Big Hospital” star has publicly shown her love for her child. In fact, last October during an episode of “Live! With Kelly and Ryan,” he detailed his experience as a father with hosts Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos.
The new thing is that he likes to say ‘shit’ all the time. I’m trying to teach him knock-knock jokes,” and he kept finding ways to slip the word in. [He goes,] ‘knock, knock?’ ‘Who’s there?’ ‘Shit,’ John spoke plainly of Billy’s attraction then.
