While Stamos is known as an actor with an all-around bubbly personality, the actor revealed that it wasn’t always that way. .
The “Fuller House” star joined “CBS Sunday Morning” in a recent interview and talked about his drinking years. At the time, the artist revealed that he didn’t really care about his well-being and was quite suicidal.
Stamos recalled, “For the longest time, when I was unconscious, when I was blacked out, I thought, ‘I’ve done it all.’ I don’t want to kill myself, but I don’t care if I die. I said, ‘I’ve done it all. if I die tomorrow, it’s okay.’ What am I thinking? I didn’t do it all; I haven’t done it all yet, not even close.”

The “Lullaby” artist explained that although he was fully aware of the concerns of his family and friends, he continued to drink.
She recalled, “My friend said, ‘You know, your mom is really worried about you.’ He said my mom would call him and say, ‘I’m worried about Johnny.’ Because I thought I was fooling everybody. Anyway, that was it. So, when that happened, I said, I can’t screw this up now. I’ve got to stick with this.”
Stamos reportedly quit it in 2015 after he was caught driving under the influence. Soon after, he enrolled in rehab which, he says, was “the hardest thing ever.”
“You know, that unfortunate night, I got in my car, I thought I could drive, and I couldn’t,” the 59-year-old said. “It just crossed my mind about driving in circles. And people were driving by me, and they’d roll down the window, ‘Uncle Jesse, stop!’”
He Has ‘Peter Pan Syndrome’

Further in CBS interview, the “You” actor explained that he had “Peter Pan syndrome” for a long time, and married in 2018 and welcomed his son Billy ending his struggle with adulthood. He called the situation “dangerous” and revealed it did not allow any room for maturity in him. “
He also talks about his youthful looks and how they don’t help matters. “I became a kicking and screaming adult,” says the artist. “And when you have the whole world saying, ‘You look 20,’ I don’t have any tentpoles saying you’re grown up, right? I just skated.”
Now that Stamos is finally entering adulthood, the actor revealed that he can’t wait to grow a family of three. He said, “But I didn’t look too far ahead. I’m just thinking now. Because the next second someone might, you know, be gone, right?”
Bob Saget Impacted His Life

The 59-year-old revealed that while alive, Saget was “one of the biggest influences in my life.” He also admitted that he would be a completely different person without the actor.

“My parents, now it’s clear. But he, you know, he was there for everything, everything good, everything bad,” Stamos said. “He’s my brother, you know? He’s the brother I’ve wanted all this time.” Kelly Rizzo, Saget’s wife, reportedly gave the actor his husband’s guitar in memory of him.
