‘Grease’ is without a doubt one of the greatest musicals in the history of cinema or at least one of the founders of the genre with ‘West Side Story’. Taking place in the 50s in the US, the film tells the story of Sandy Olsson played by Olivia Newton-John, an Australian high school student who stays for the summer holidays. She meets and falls in love with Danny Zuko, played by John Travolta, the leader of the T-Birds. Unfortunately, he had to return to Australia and their love was interrupted by that.

However, we will let you watch the movie if you haven’t seen it yet. This film has launched many careers but especially John Travolta as it was one of his first big roles in the industry. Grease Myth Scene Parody For T-Mobile

YouTube video

The 68-year-old comedian pays homage to two things in this video where he reinterprets his hit single, ‘Summer Nights’. He paid tribute to ‘Grease’ and the song, but especially to the late Olivia Newton-John.

As for the ad itself, there’s a lot more to say. First of all, John Travolta has an outfit similar to the one he wore when he played Danny Zuko in ‘Grease’. Second, he was accompanied by Zach Braff and Donald Faison, the iconic duo from the sitcom ‘Scrubs’, and they all sang about how T-Mobile is better than other operators. You can also see how much of a smile and energy he puts into it, even though he’s still processing what happened two years ago. Because yes, this is the same scene he played with his wife in 1978.
