Kevin Hart is suing controversial YouTuber Tasha K for blackmail after she allegedly threatened to release a hot interview with her former assistant.
According to legal documents, obtained by The Blast, the comedian and actor initially slammed the controversial vlogger with a cease and desist letter, warning he would not pay a 6-figure fee to keep the interview from going public.
Kevin Hart Claims Tasha K Tried To Hug Him For $250,000
In the filing, Kevin’s legal team said on November 22, 2023, they sent a letter to Tasha K regarding her “recent and ongoing violations of civil and criminal law.” Addressed by the popular YouTuber’s real name, Latasha Transrina Kebe, the filing demands that she “immediately cease and desist all such activities.” It continues:
“You have already engaged in criminal behavior and hurtful acts that would qualify Mr. Hart has monetary damages against you if he chooses to initiate civil litigation regarding this matter. To the extent that you do not cease and desist now, your liability for such monetary damages will increase, as will your exposure to criminal penalties.”

Citing the incident that led to the suspension and termination, Hart’s legal representative, Donte Mills, explained that an unidentified individual who claimed to have ties to Tasha’s blog contacted someone on the “Jumanji” star team.
The person, allegedly acting on Tasha’s instructions, communicated the intention to “publish a damaging story on social media (“Story”).” However, they declared that Hart could avoid the public seeing the story if he paid $250,000.
The document claims the act falls “under Penal Code Section 518” and that it “gives rise to criminal and civil liability against you and anyone involved in your efforts to blackmail Mr. Hart.”
Thus, making Tasha’s claim “an effort to extract payment” from the father of four by “threatening to reveal information that is supposedly harmful to him is a textbook example.”
Shockingly, Hart’s team reported the incident to the police, and told investigators that the team’s understanding of the “Story” in question was “an interview with Mr. Hart’s former assistant, Miesha Shakes that purportedly included scandalous allegations against her.”
Adding, “Prior to the publication of your threatened Story, you posted a “teaser” with Ms. Shakes on YouTube that was clearly intended as a threat, sending a message to Mr. Hart’s team that a more detailed Story would not be published if – and only if – the ransom was paid. “
He also reminded the alleged parties of the non-disclosure agreement signed by Ms. Shakes, stressing that the supposed aide would be in breach of it if any details in “related to the Story” were disclosed.
Of course, Hart’s lawyers cited their familiarity with the “Unwine with Tasha K” host’s “defamatory and otherwise inappropriate content about celebrities and other high-profile individuals.”
One of the “high-profile individuals” Tasha has lost a defamation lawsuit against is Cardi B after a judge found her “liable for civil damages in excess of $3 million.” Losing the case ultimately led the entertainment personality to file for “bankruptcy protection,” which Mills touched on in the legal document.
He declared that Tasha would not be exempt from “responsibility for the financial damages to Mr. Hart that you incur as a result of the misconduct described herein.” The filing further states:
“Based on the above issues, we demand that you immediately cease and desist all activities and public statements related to the Story and refrain from any publication or threatened publication of the Story.”
Nursery K. has not yet responded to the suit.

Despite losing some of her fortune to Cardi B, Tasha remains a thorn in the rapper’s side. He took to the comments section of the social media post to post his thoughts on the “Bodak Yellow” hitmaker’s post:
“Didn’t he send the weapon right after Takeoff died? And on the internet, cutting off shortly after taking off suddenly? I’m just asking…Everyone grieves differently…”
Not wanting to remain silent, the 30-year-old issued a warning to social media celebrities to brace themselves for the consequences. Alongside a screenshot of Tasha’s comment, Cardi started on X:
“And Tasha K with your despicable—.. to bring up Departing to prove fake donkey points is disgusting. I lost weight, I couldn’t eat, I couldn’t sleep, me and my man STILL deal with that to this day.”
The former “Love & Hip Hop: New York” star added:
“I’m a rapper, we target all the time so of course I have guns for protection. But since you want to be funny for a comment, I make sure your child doesn’t go to college. You think my lawyer doesn’t know you’re hiding money in Africa? I make sure I get every red cent from my 4 factories. NEVER PUT YOUR NAME IN YOUR MOUTH.”
