JoJo Siwa Rides Disney World’s Newest TRON Coaster Ahead Of Opening

A brand new rollercoaster is coming soon to the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World.

The TRON Lightcycle / Run is set to open in the Tomorrowland section of the Magic Kingdom in April, but select Park Member Cast Members and Disney World Annual Passholders can ride the attraction before its official opening.

And one lucky celebrity also got a chance to experience the new coaster — none other than “Dance Moms” star and “Dancing With the Stars” contestant JoJo Siwa.

Walt Disney World President Jeff Vahle invited JoJo Siwa to experience the new TRON rollercoaster ahead of its opening, and it’s clear she had a blast.

This isn’t the first time Siwa has been invited to experience a ride earlier last year, Walt Disney World President Jeff Vahle and Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products Josh D’Amaro invited the former Nickelodeon child star to experience Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT.

“Last year, @itsjojosiwa helped me save the galaxy at EPCOT. This year, we jumped on the grid at the Magic Kingdom to race against Team Orange and WIN! #allthedisneythrills,” Vahle shared in an Instagram post alongside a photo of himself with JoJo Siwa riding a TRON bike.

Disney Parks has previously stated that TRON will be one of the fastest coasters at any Disney theme park in the world! According to the Walt Disney World website, the TRON Lightcycle / Run is described as:

Lean forward into the ultimate race of life! Leave the real world behind and join the Blue Team on an epic quest across the Grid—a dark computerized world without horizons from TRON. Here, there is no limit to the fun.

Board your very own Lightcycle and embark on a high-speed adventure, racing against the Grid’s most threatening Program. Outrun your fiercest opponents as you attempt to cross the 8 Energy Gates and secure your team’s victory—so you can survive to race another day.

If Guests want to ride the new TRON rollercoaster when it opens to the public, they must use the Virtual Queue system that Disney has implemented. Disney has stated, “Virtual queues will be available when the TRON Lightcycle / Run opens on April 4, 2023. Guests will need to use the My Disney Experience app to enter the attraction. Ready queues will not be available. Each Guest may enter the virtual queue no more than once per day during regular park hours. Boarding pools for virtual queues are limited, subject to availability and not guaranteed.”

Guests also have the option to purchase an Individual Lightning Pass to gain entry to this attraction once it opens.

The Blast had the chance to ride the Magic Kingdom attraction before its opening, which you can read more about here.
