Majors’ day in court saw his accuser, Grace Jabbari, take the floor to recount the moments of their relationship before their altercation in March, per Deadline.
The dancer claims to have met the “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” star while filming the Marvel movie in the UK in 2021.” After initially spending almost every day together, their relationship allegedly turned abusive, with Majors displaying a “brutal pattern and manipulative.”
Jabbari cited an example in 2022 when he attended the Glastonbury festival with friends. At the time, the actress reportedly “intimidated” her with her mean words about ex-boyfriends and criticized her heavily for going to the event.
On another occasion, Majors is said to have scolded her after a friend’s visit, causing a fight between them. However, they reconciled amid the actor’s pleas that he not make their quarrel known to anyone.

Jabbari’s testimony is expected to play a major role in proving whether Majors is innocent or guilty. Back in March, the actor was charged with multiple misdemeanor counts of assault and harassment. These include three counts of assault in the third degree, one count of aggravated harassment in the second degree and three counts of attempted assault in the third degree.
The charges stemmed from her domestic dispute with Jabbari which reportedly left her with minor head and neck injuries and a broken finger.
A few months after his initial arrest, Majors filed a counter-complaint against Jabbari for assault. However, the DA’s office chose not to pursue the matter and recently shared that their decision not to do so was not a quid pro quo” for using Jabbri’s testimony to build their case against Majors.

Majors continues to maintain his innocence and has no plans to recant, as evidenced by the opening statement of his attorney, Priya Chaudry.
The woman’s defense lawyer told the court that Jabbari’s report to the police on the night of the incident was “a false statement to get rid of everything [Majors] has spent his whole life working for,” per Deadline.
He added, “This is a case about the end of a relationship, not about a crime — at least not one that Mr. Majors do. This man is innocent.”
Chaudry also told jurors that they should stay focused on the facts of the case, adding that the prosecution would try to “distract” them with “stories about the months and years before the incident.”
Meanwhile, the prosecution claimed that the day’s incident was the culmination of a relationship rooted in “domestic violence” that Majors inflicted on Jabbari throughout their time together.

It remains unclear how the six jurors will vote at the end of the trial. However, if Majors is found guilty, he could face up to a year in prison. In the meantime, the actor has lost many opportunities since the charges were brought against him
He has been dropped from the upcoming film adaptation of Walter Mosley’s 2004 novel and is no longer considered to star in a biopic about the late musician Otis Redding. His proposed feature in an advertising campaign for the Texas Rangers MLB team also failed.
Amidst the loss of these projects, the company that represents the star of “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania”, along with his manager, took the decision to sever their relationship with him. The actor also stepped down from being a board member of the Gotham Film and Media Institute.
