Jordan Fisher went on “The Drew Barrymore Show” where, for the first time, he opened up about his struggle with an eating disorder at the same time his wife was pregnant.
“I think it’s important to mention—especially for the sake of this conversation—we were four months pregnant, five months pregnant, always wanted to be a dad, knew that I was going to achieve that goal and take on the biggest and best project. all my life with my partner and my best friend, and I was diagnosed with an eating disorder that I didn’t know about,” he revealed in the talk show.
The former Disney Channel star continued, “I just found out that I had reflux and like all these things that made it hard for me to eat and didn’t realize that there was all this trauma from my childhood that I needed to work through. through therapy.”
The “To All the Boys: PS I Still Love You” star and his wife, Ellie Fisher, welcomed their baby girl, Riley, in June 2022, however, he hasn’t spoken publicly about his eating disorder diagnosis until now.
“The last few months of my contract were physically very, very difficult times for me,” he continued to explain on the show regarding his work life. “I lost 30 pounds. I’ve never actually talked about this out loud on a platform like this at all. And man, I’m so glad I made it through that desert because here we are now talking to you. I’m so much stronger. “
